@RIOT adding Agency to Yasuo in lane
I was thinking about this and have been discussing this a lot with a few people on the boards. (that took some work :P) And if there is ONE change that would make Yasuo feel a LOT less oppressive in lane its this one:
In Version 4.21 you reduced Yasuo's Q cooldown to 4 at all ranks. Granted, it wasn't much higher before, but lets think about this:
If yasuo can hold his gathering storm stacks for 10 seconds (6 while fully charged) but you change his Q cooldown to 6/5.5/5/4.5/4 or even 8/7/6/5/4, how does that change his lane phase oppressiveness?
-
He will throw fewer tornadoes. This will make him feel like he is less able when he has to play safe from range.
-
He will have less time to hold tornadoes. This will make it feel like he has less ability to zone you by holding tornadoes combined with having fewer of them in the first place.
-
He will have fewer early opportunities to E/Q AA and E out for trades. Because it takes longer to get his tornado charged at early levels, he will have bigger gaps between his trade combos, allowing more time to prepare/recover.
I think this would be the best way to fix his lane frustration. As to windwall:
Fix the size to rank 2 or 3 size. It shouldn't be so large late game.
Lower the duration and have it scale. Something like 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds for duration. The lock out of ranged attacks and skill expression for timing your wall is cheapened by how long it lasts and in certain scenarios (the wall does have counterplay people) it actually does completely remove ranged champions for the duration. Making it smaller will still make it super powerful in the right situations (jungle corridors) but less oppressive to walk around out in the open, and the shorter duration should make it feel better for everyone, opponents and players alike.
Make it spawn at melee range where he swings his sword, since that is visually how he spawns it in the first place. I only think this is a big deal because it feels really bad watching yasuo windwall your skill shot by throwing the wall in the opposite direction. Puts the skill back in the skill.
This would give you significant room in his power budget to actually make him a decent champion and would GREATLY lessen his frustrations in lane.
Hope this helps RITO.
