why are people so stupid and cant handle darius.

or you can just not be bad and play champs you can play. If you play any of those besides maybe ekko and def malphite and zac you are a boosted animal anyways
"Don't play a Melee" is not an answer to that, especially since you might be unlucky enough to pick before them and had no idea you're facing Darius.
As for about facing him? I've beaten Darius a few times as
and some times with
but that is a really really annoying match up for her, and might of only won with her against bad Darius. As for any Melee's that I can reliably use into Darius and win 80%+ of the time? I'd say maybe
but yea...it's sad that I'd rather fight a Ranged champion (Even my most hated top ranged champions like
) over Darius.

Poppy is an ez lane for darius.
Chogath is an ez lane since darius can zone him from the get-go. Chogath gets very mana hungry if he cant last hit minions with things other than his mana expensive knockup.
Good melees capable of dueling darius are:
Riven, trundle, renekton, and jax.
Riven and renekton can bully him relatively well. Jax and trundle are skill matchups
he is the best duelist he gets natural armor pen from his e and then he gets black cleaver nobody can duel him
He is not the best duelist. He is a strong one but not some magical duelist.
Like I said, fighters like riven and renekton can really bully darius from level 2 onwards

I wouldn't say that Poppy is an easy lane for Darius exactly, maybe more of a skill match up since if you can get an early advantage off of a trade and lure him closer to a wall, it can be a lane that Poppy can win. Though I play her a lot so maybe I'm just used to her enough to win against an average Darius, maybe not against a Darius main though.
As for Cho'gath, I'd probably just go with a 200 Mana + 17 Armor rune page (or something like that, I forgot) which I'll use some times for people like Cho'gath/Signed when facing a strong duelist which be enough with passive + doran's ring to keep his mana high enough to trade with. Though it's an interesting match up since when both hit 6 it's basically who can get the enemy down to low enough for their ult to finish them off. Though I'd actually think Cho'gath could have the advantage since he gets a lot of hp from his stacks and HP is how you counter Darius. In that match-up, might just have to wait until you reach a lot of stacks and then try to fight him then.
I can't say much about
since I don't play them so wouldn't know how they fair into Darius. Though Riven I can see if you can time your shield/stun and you are mobile enough to dodge around him. I don't know about Jax since he kind of needs to ramp up to really be strong and that's not very good against a strong damage tank like Darius, plus he wouldn't care about Jax's dodge since he doesn't auto attack to much but for applying a few stacks or his W. In the early game, I'd think Darius would have it until Jax can reach 1-2 items.
Trundle and Renekton I can see it being good into Darius, Especially
which I did forget about being a good laner into him.

Chogath gets HP stacks but darius has in-duel sustain that heals based on his missing health, making it so much harder for cho to get darius low enough in the first place. Darius's max stack ultimate potential outscales chogath's ultimate even while building tank starting at level 2 (unless chogath is going pure AP). Five stacking chogath isn't really all that hard since the guy is immobile and darius can rely more on autos to stack while he is silenced.
If chogath runs an almost pure mana rune page then he'll: deal no damage and have little tank. The flat armor quickly evaporate as darius levels apprehend.
Darius should never be lured into a wall and even then, once poppy uses her full rotation, it's darius's turn to reply. Darius's retaliation usually hurts poppy a lot more than her initiation.
i mean that is one way to fight him i guess......
You tell me not to play a Melee, but I don't feel like I'm going to do well using a glass cannon.
I guess I'm going to end up playing Graves or Gnar then.

Graves is actually bad into darius.
His AA range leaves him open to decimate harass and by the time he stacks resistances with his dash he gets dunked on with five stacks. Graves has low HP.
Darius's winrate actually drops a little against a few of the champions you listed.
50.87% -> 47.67% against
50.87% -> 49.74% against
50.87% -> 47.77% against
I have never lost a match up as Fiora against Darius. Not sure what you're talking about just block his ultimate with your riposte.

Fiora is squishy after the annihilation of tankfiora. Darius hurts in more ways than just his ult, and the only way fiora can dance around darius is by allowing him to also stack her in the process.
He can bully her early game and stick to teamfights late game to invalidate her incredible dueling power.
Why can't you handle people who can't handle
? Eh? Eh?
probably because they don't have experience playing against darius? just a thought :P
does modestly well against Darius....
Ok, sure, lets just drop every melee top like a sack of bricks and just all start playing ranged tops. Darius shouldn't invalidate 90% of his own lane opponents just because you would have to be "stupid" to pick melee into him.
Why? Because this game stops being about skill the very instant you lose the freedom to even try to possibly win a bad matchup against anyone at anytime. This game becomes nothing more than a clash of stats, much less a clash of skill.
EDIT: That said, I'm not advocating that we nerf Darius. Darius isn't so bad that we need to go that far. You can still beat him silly if you play smart and pick when to engage.

The YoloQ mentality of "I must carry myself out of ELO hell. And I must win the matchup to do that." that's the problem. As for me, I almost never plan on winning a match up. (Cause if you do, you tilt if things don't go according to plan) At best I plan on stalling a bad match up into a draw. Namely with the intent of pulling though because my champion pick gave us the superior comp. (Why I would never play Nasus, good champion, bad for the team comp.)
And that's probably one of the biggest disconnects with a Juggernaut. They feel like a stats check in lane or in a duel, but their actual skill exists within the team fight. But no one actually cares about the team play, they just want to dominate their lane, and feel like solo skill is more important.
Lastly, all the issue with the laning phase are basically compounded for the top laner. Since Top laners have the solo lane farm and XP. (More so than mid, since they tend to sit their in an island and split push) And they are typically the best duelists on the team. Which is why, when your top laner loses to the enemy top laner, if feels like no one on your team can single handedly take the opponent down a notch.
WTF game are you playing? Tryndamere stomps Darius after level 6
WTF game are you playing? Tryndamere stomps Darius after level 6
Not really, especially because darius's bleed can kill him after the ult is done.
Also, darius has a WAYYYY better teamfight than tryndamere.
Darius can bully tryndamere early game and then just stick to teamfights where he can peel tryndamere with apprehend and make tryndamere worthless.
you can beat darius on fiora if you riposte his hook. or you just save your q for his hook and backwards stab him while retreating after he pulled you.
Beating Darius as a melee is not impossible. He's incredibly easy to outplay, considering half of his kit is telegraphed.
