For a champion with abilities this powerful, the rest of his kit is far too overloaded. He has 
Q on his E, giving him unconditional mobility making his CC easier to land, and also comes with ANOTHER knockup on it. Why is that even there? Then also his semi global ult, which appears to knockup people for 3 seconds that for some reason also shields his teammates.
Stop making overloaded kits.

1.5 seconds if at the center. .75 seconds not in the center. And gives damage reduction to one person.

Hard CC is any disruption used to prevent the enemy from moving/doing anything. his Q and ultimate are both hard CC. Get over it
How is pushing people away and knocking them up not CC? By your own definition, Galio doesn't count. since his ultimate is used for the same purpose as Janna's

His Ulti mate knocks all people along its trail. it is AoE.
her Ultimate is AoE and is 90% of the time used for the instacast which IS used purely for lock down. her W is also AoE Knock up whenever anyone dashes within the zone.
