I think it's time to finally change how XP is split

We need to make is so the jungler is not hitting level 6 by clearing like 4 camps and just ganking. I think the only way to force that is to change the xp system. As most of the time you care about XP you are in a 1v1 or 2v2 situation. The jungler should not be hitting level 6 before bot lane if he only clears 4 camps and then proceeds to just gank lanes.

Ganking lanes should be a choice not a necessity. It's really breeding the 3v3 and 4v4 bot meta. I feel that in order to prevent this from happening the XP for being in lane with 3 or more people should be reduced.

The current xp breakdown

Two champions each gain 65.2% Three champions each gain 43.46% Four champions each gain 32.6% Five champions each gain 26.08%

Making it always somewhat more beneficial for everyone to be grouped but to allow bot lane to survive as the game scales.

XP should probably be split into something like this:

Two champions each gain 60% Three champions each gain 38% Four champions each gain 30% Five champions each gain 23%

But to compensate supports should be given xp gain on their items per 5s and minions are worth a small chunk of xp on last hit with base xp being dropped slightly.

I think this would encourage more farming of the jungle instead of just using it as a spring board for a quick level advantage early for easy kills.

I dont think you understand how Jungle XP works if you think that 4 camps will get a jungler to level 6.

I dont think you understand how Jungle XP works if you think that 4 camps will get a jungler to level 6.

The 4 camps gets them to 3 before the other lanes. They get to 3 gank a lane usually get close to 4 kill a camp for 4 then gank again and if they get a kill it goes even faster and possibly be half way to 5 while the lanes just hit 3. It's really poorly thought out. Because even if they don't personally get the kill they can still stay ahead of the lanes with xp until around level 7-8. Making the early game revolve around ganks and ganks are most powerful in bot lane where the ADC and dragon is.

You reduce how much xp junglers get while coming into lane and u slow them down dramatically giving putting the gank heavily junglers back in line with farming junglers but putting them back in the high risk high reward niche.

And you can't say reward the junglers more for farming and less for kills because Riot's tried that and look at where we are at now. Same if not more rampant problem. I think people just finally figured out that ganks aren't just about gold they spike xp so hard because you get more team xp for being together and getting kills over farming. It's why most champs are hitting 18 sooner with less gold and I feel like the deaths per game is going up on top of the average game time being much shorter than in the past.
