Riot doesn't force a 50% winrate.

I had 9 wins and 25 losses going into a ranked queue of Bronze III with a hot 7 game losing streak, and got pitted against an enemy op lane that was three brackets above, in Silver. The enemy bottom laner was also Silver, while the rest of both teams where in the appropriate placement bracket.

At the end of this match I am predictably now at 9 wins and 26 losses, and the mythical 50% seems to be nowhere in sight.

I'm never going to win a match in this game again am I? Let alone get an S for a mastery chest. I really sincerely wish that supposed forced 50% would exist, because I could use about 16 wins.

Meaninglessly small sample size of poor luck.

How exactly would you expect riot to rig the game so you win every other game? Also why would you think that is a good idea?

Maybe try a different role, or do something else until you untilt. Playing on tilt just tilts you harder and throws harder.

Sounds like you're playing on tilt. Also the system tries its best to do it's thing, but the human element is a variable no system can take into account.

Why wouldn't the system match me against other people in my rank though? It is hard enough to deal with people at the same skill, let alone seemingly constantly being pitted against the higher tiers.

Because the system doesn't go by matching ranks, it goes by matching mmr.

Rank devisions are more of a "meaningless" color coating that give a false impression because it doesn't always line up perfectly with your mmr score.

It's kind of a fucked up weird system but also a strangely necessary one (I think), because without it playing ranked would be the exact same as playing normals, so playing ranked would be meaningless.

EDIT: Or depending on your perspective, playing normals would be meaningless.
