Blocking my messages in chat when I join a game

I feel like this has to be intentional, but I don't know why. It angers me because it happens when I try to send a message right when I join. Then because of how normal Q functions, I don't get a chance to get the role I want. It blocks the messages for a solid 3-5 seconds. I don't know why this exists in the first place, but for the sake of all the people in normal Q, please remove it.
