Why are you wrecking Mao'kai over this?

You want to stop Mao'kai from screwing the enemy jungler with no effort... okay, reduce the early damage on Sapling, Good...

Wait why does he have less damage on a maxed E? Why does it cost 20 more mana maxed?

Fuck you dude, I happen to like the Sapling mechanics and it only takes one or two Maokai games to see how ineffective it actually is against an opponent that knows wha'ts going on. If I'm Mao support I go OOM sapping the bushes while lulu spends no mana outrunning or shielding every sapling. If I'm Mao top they just never go near brush and Mao has nothing he can do if an enemy just keeps disengaging him over and over again whenever I try to play around the brushes.

Unless I'm playing a cripple like Anivia, I find they're not difficult to outrun, the Saplings.

I think they invested too much power in his passive, but that's me.

he was wrecked with the rework to begin with... where he is only viable as cheezy full ap support

its a joke...

Maokai with a game-breaking ult (old R) was okay with you? the hell?

oSEXYPLATYPUSo2 votes

lol his old ult was game breaking ?

when prior to his rework he had an average win rate of 46% since the end of last season at least?

and oh out side the cheezy ap mao support (which is 52% win rate) he still is 46% win rate top and jungle

Thing is Maokai's ult took the damage his teammates AND HIMSELF took and reduced it by 50% then threw it back as normal damage at all enemies plus some of his AP power, which made it insanely broken

lol it wasnt broken ... it was a good team fight ult but far from broken ...

people miss use terms or over use them all the time... like OP broken , cancerous , toxic etc

and this is a prime example of it.

It is an appropriate use of 'hyperbole' though.

Right cause an ult that can suddenly turn the game around when you're losing is totally not worthy of being changed, got it.

Maokai's ult took the damage his teammates AND HIMSELF took and reduced it by 50%

20%

then threw it back as normal damage at all enemies

It doubled the amount absorbed (so 40% of unmodified damage dealt) up to a cap.

The minimum damage dealt by the ability was 100/150/200 + 50% AP.

The maximum damage dealt by the ability was 200/300/400 + 50% AP.

You are greatly exaggerating its strength.

and even then maokai wasnt built AP 90% of the maokai players built him pure tank so he could survive longer in fights and be that super tank... so the ap ratio was kinda crap... kinda like what riot intended with the rework damage on E but people exploited it to a cheezy ap support build

Try playing someone with a pet into him then. Someone like Zyra, Malzahar, Heimerdinger, etc... the saplings will focus the first closest thing to enter their area, meaning placing that 1 voidling ruins all of his set up since all of the saplings rush it.
