"x team deserved to lose because they drafted poorly."

You know what this shows? That the game is so horrible balanced that a team can lose from champion select. This wasn't said because some team picked an all squishy team comp, this was said because a team let the enemy get kog'Maw while they picked cait. That is horrible reasoning for why a team should lose a game. I am so sick of the only viable strategy being "inject as many steroids as you can into your bot lane hyper carry." This has even carried over to solo queue where top lane has 0 impact, and the only way jungle and mid can carry a game is buy camping bot lane 24/7 to try to get their hyper carry as ahead as possible. This game can have so much potential if riot doesn't enforce the whole "marksman are the only carry champions." There are other carry classes like mages, skirmishers, juggernauts, and assassins, yet riot doesn't seem to think they are. I can think of so many team comps that should be able to work but are not based on a bot lane marksman.

If you're talking about C9 vs WE it wasn't simply that they lost because they let them have Kog, or they lost at champ select because their champs were counterpicked, or they lost because protect the Kog is OP.

People knew the draft in game 5 was a losing draft, and they knew C9 needed to ban Kog, Janna, Galio, because of the context. This was game 5 between these teams. It was obvious at this point which strategies and champions each team was strong with. That's why WE banned Singed two games in a row. They had no answer and it was obviously a good pick for C9's top laner.

WE showed that they would always opt for Kog and did not show that they could beat C9 with any other strategy. It would have been the most logical choice to ban and force them to show that they can actually do something else. For all we know, they don't have anything else. C9 didn't do that, they just let them have the comp they had shown they were really good at.

At the same time, C9 had been banned out. Trist and Singed were banned, the two champs they showed they could use to beat WE.

My point is, that draft had a lot of matchup specific information available and C9 just ignored all of it.

This is a strategic game. Yes...part of a strategic game is punishing bad setups. We don't nerf Charizard because it bodied your Venusaur, and thus we don't say this game's unbalanced because people can pick up advantages in the draft phase.

I fucking love this.

Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. One hundred times bullshit. Being able to draft well is part of being a good LCS/LCK/etc. team. If you lose a game because of a specific composition that the enemy team played last game, and you do what, say, Cloud9 did this morning, and NOT ban the champion that was making that comp work (Kog'maw) during ANY of those games, then I'm sorry but you deserve to lose.

Losing at champion select is okay, because it shows that even if you are good mechanically, you don't actually have a good grasp on how to make a good team comp.

You do realize that last season Marksman were literally shit. They hit like a soft turd, they got stepped on, deleted instantly, and did almost NOTHING to the tanks during tank meta. Soo... it's just a phase. It'll be midlaners next season.

ROFL. Still picked every game. Stop perpetuating the False ADC2k17 meme. ADC where fine only a few tanks were out of line so that whinefest began

Huh? I'm not? I'm literally saying heavy bot lane carry will be rotated out and another role will be favored next season, or next patch. It has nothing to do with the ADC2k17 meme.

What do you think the odds are Marksmen won't get played at all?

He was getting at the fact that in 7 seasons, at least one marksmen have been in the game(and at least one in the botlane)in every game(competitively at least, I did have a normal game with Veigar Zyra vs Yasuo Nami this last week. I was Zyra, we won hard)

Meanwhile, Support fluctuates from tanks, to enchanters, to mages, even adc's occasionally(support MF was a thing, and support Ashe will be stronger then ever next season due to the "press the attack" rune combined with "font of life"). Mid goes burst mage(which sometimes is an adc like Lucian or Corki), control mage, assassin. Top has Tanks, carry duelists, and the occasional adc/mage. Jungle gets all sorts from mages to tanks to divers to adc's...

Wait, what class was in each of those? ADC.

So if the ADC role was so very weak, why were they still being played botlane and other roles instead of being rotated out for some other class like every other role does? There is absolutely no reason. Only once the adc's can have a time out of the spotlight(as in, not in games) and stay out for the majority of games can they be said to be weak, as that is the requirement for the rest of the classes(or at least people only start complaining that a class is weak when they are never seen).

Honestly it's fine in a very competitive environment because people that do extremely few mistakes should play the matchup to how they're supposed to work. It being a thing in soloQ/ normal games (non competitive) like : "you don't have ardent censer, you lose" is way more of an issue right now.
