He can use all of his moves in a very short amount of time, buckshot takes a millisecond to use same with his ult, therefore he can use his ult and buckshot without missing much AA time. where as when i play someone like jinx there is a decent amount of time needed to launch my Zap and ultimate. thoughts?

The reason Graves is so strong is because he has everything you'd want as an ADC. His Q is some good bursty poke, and works well for wave clear, too. His W is great for utility (make other adc miss cs, make them miss you, restrict their vision and juke, etc.). His E is a gap closer, an escape, and an attack speed steroid all rolled into one. His ult is hella bursty. He has good scaling, and a passive that makes him semi-tanky. If they didn't gimp his range, he'd be ridiculous.

Besides, he's like, the love child of Hugh Jackman and John Wayne. How many different ways can you spell "badass"?

He also heavily counters Kalista as his damage output is really high in early trades. Jinx is really strong too, but she needs her items and levels to make use of her passive

I'd go with what this guy said.

After looking at all the marksman in the game - Graves is actually the most average of all of them. Typical marksman pattern is a solid poke/AoE skill for wave-clear, an AS steroid as your AA steroid, an escape, and rather long-ranged ultimate. And of course a ranged auto-attack.

So, he has all the basics down in his kit without missing a beat, where most marksman miss out on 1 of those. His range is shorter than average and he's burstier than most marksman as a main point of divergence.

His burst tends to lead to a pretty awesome lanning phase when paired with any aggressive support though, and a solid lanning phase is extremely important at the pro level.
