I think we all know that if they get buffed and become decent, a certain class of ranged damage dealers will start picking them up to become even more unkillable. We all know it.

AR URF1 votesI still believe that tanks are overpowered. Nowadays tanks will build one damage item and be significantly tanky. for example on 
building 
with grasp of the undying mastery and returning a lot of damage while tanking a lot. Or like 
building 
and all tank items after and being able to do a decent amount of damage to ADC's and maybe even killing them.

They should be avoiding CC with their range and usually a single cc means you're dead instantly anyways as a squishy carry
Historically I don't ever recall seeing ADCs get mercs except against the likes of Veigar and such
