What is Teemo?

Or more specifically, what makes Teemo Teemo? What about Teemo makes him unique and interesting to play as, and to play against? What is his perceived role on the team, and does he do his job well?

What about Teemo makes you want to play as him? What about Teemo makes you never want to touch the guy? What about him makes him enjoyable to play against? And what about Teemo makes him a nightmare to play against?

What about about his kit, or his overall thematic makes him appealing and/or repulsive? What could be improved or changed to make Teemo a better champ holistically?

We all know Teemo for his mushrooms, but what about his Q? or his W or E, or his passive? What should Teemo's role be were he to have an improved kit? Should he be made to better conform to current play style paradigms? or should he be focused more on a unique approach to league that harkens back the the old days of split pushing by emphasizing his map control capabilities?

If you were given the task by riot to rework Teemo right here and now, how would you do it? How would you keep Teemo iconic? How would you innovate? How would you make him a better champ?

He's a troll pick that brings nothing useful to a team comp but people like him because he plays like a little bitch and is able to AFK hide in a bush while getting kills from shrooms

My favorite thing about him is his death animation - we need more of that

I've never had a huge problem with Teemo. He's got a troll kit, but he's hardly the only champ that does annoying stuff, and I'd rather deal with him than Singed nine times out of ten.

I think his kit is fine as it is. There are plenty high ELO Teemo mains that prove if your willing to commit to the champ he can contribute just fine. Fox's opinion is quite common, and there is something to it. I struggle myself contributing to the team as consistently as I do when I play my main Lane which is support.

I get most of my kills not by mushrooms, but by item actives, positioning and knowing when to go in and when not to. I have a lot to learn still as I'm a fairly new player and Low elo.

Imho: His w is lackluster, and his e is garbage. I'd remove w, and give him a conditional on hit movement speed boost. (Nothing over the top, we all know what mallet teemo is like) If he needs to keep stealth as part of his identity, make it very light watered down version of twitch stealth as an active ability. Maybe a passive that has to do with granting conditional enemy jungle vision beyond his shrooms. (Scout theme)
