She does the exact same thing as rengar but with even less counterplay. Actually there is no counterplay to being protobelt flash tibbers with a void staff.

Regardless of how many people 'cry', like you guys. Just because a champion's kit is so simple that she gets powerful scaling does not make her ridiculous. If just because a Mage champion can have a powerful blast kit due to particular conditions that acted as the deciding factor then:

-Anivia would be nerfed hard for having insane lane control and bullying with her Q stun, double damage single target attack if a target's recently been hit by her Q or R. Her ice wall being just as troll'some as Yasuo's wind wall except it blocks champions and can be used to troll even your team mates, her toggle'able Slowing, DoT and slowly increases to 50% its size and damage ultimate and her passive which even with its cool down is just like Jax's where if anyone ignores her after 'depleting' her health bar, then she gets to get back up and utterly ruin what was likely multiple ultimates used on her to kill her instantly.

-Swain for being able to play the sustainable bully thanks to his mana regain passive, being able to lay down a DoT damage field that will zone in on you if your in the field and another field that lets him stun you. Plus his ultimate which combined with his standard way of hp stacking and healing items like spirit visage turns him into this unstoppable screw around tank who just dances around you and can still use his other abilities while his bird swarm constantly pokes you and heals him.

-Vladimir for being another HP stacking mage who will just go invincible for a few seconds outside of DoT damage still being applied to him and just life drain you like a spaz and he just burns that excess health because he regains it faster then others can damage him and he can still damage the crap out of you due to how his kit works.

Before the silly gags your whining about such as 'protobelt' Annie, there was still a thing called Flash Poking where Annie was especially potent at with Tibbers stun, then quickly throw out Q, W and then E and your already back up to 3 counts and almost set for a another stun. Annie is a champion who lacks mobility and doesn't get any super extra special gimmicks outside of being a AP damage dealer, a passive that procs on her 4th spell when she 'attacks' a target with an ability and her now much more viable damage reduction % field and damage lash out on her E (compared to her old simple armor/resist gain version), since it pretty much can't be erased with just plain penetration building (even if it might shred her actual armor/MR instead) as easily.

She lacks secondary passive gimmicks, no real escape measures and not much anything else that makes her stand out especially before her ultimate, with her ultimate being what acts as her ace in the hole, not some gimmick to make her shat on the target(cough Yasuo cough), which at least makes sense for it to be so powerful compared to her vanilla kit. Since if she has those 4 stacks and you haven't seen her summon tibbers recently, you better be ready for her to ham on you and likely be ready to proc a shield or a anti CC measure like mercurial scimitar or Zhonya's hour glass to avoid that initial stun burst (since her W and R are field targets, they will go off anyway and waste Annie's stun in the process [likely less some mechanic makes it only trigger on a enemy being damaged itself] and at least save you a bit from the massacre.

Plus, Mages by standard should be able to blow you up especially if you didnt stack that much hp or even any MR at all, except the ones who have different kits made for working in a different style (Like Vlad and Swain's tank mage play). Assassins do the same but with AD, but usually have to get close to even have a chance to do it AND NOT TO MENTION, there is no counter play to counter or instant cast moves. That is likely one of the few gimmicks that Annie does get to have especially as a mid laner that lets her be able to match up and have a chance against champions like Yasuo since her W and R lets her ignore the windwall and stun punish him either after he's using wind wall or when he tries to and proceed to blow him up.
