I won't call for firing of whoever created this garbage client, but please acknowledge that it's an utter embarrassment for a multibillion dollar company such as yours.

It is crazy that it took me whole month in summer to just INSTALL this game after having it uninstalled since march.

The patcher, or launcher or installer or whatever you wanna call it kept giving me all kinds of different errors.

Now, after all of that in the past month I've been getting bug splats, critical errors almost every single DAY.

Yeah, yeah , I'm sure it has something to do with my PC but I didn't change ANYTHING, no hardware and everything is up to date.

I had no prior issues until they started happening 1 month ago.

Hextech "repair" tool is a glorified reinstaller that does NEXT to nothing, and now I did the clean uninstall and tried installing the stupid game again and guess what? I AM GETTING THE SAME ERRORS I WAS GETTING IN SUMMER.

"Patching failed and we're not sure why, please restart the client to restart patching"

I restart client and boom same error again, and again and again.

Why is this stupid patcher so buggy and glitchy, why?

I can't even install the god damn game ! WTF?!

Same keep fucking getting these errors/bugsplats EVERY patch in multiple quantities. And I never missed a patch. Plus firewall keeps popping up every new patch.

After every patch i gotta force repatch and re-restart the goddamn client 10-50 times and when it starts patching it seems like it's mining bitcoins my pc is worth like 1000$+ can run newest games on highest quality but when the lol client patches my pc can't even respond to me moving my mouse ROFL. It seems that riot resources go to the skins department trying to overshadow other issues by pouring more and more fancy skins which is disgusting. I actually believe that the client is being worked on by only 1 or 2 people. And why did they get rid of the old client to make a new client that is in no way better than the old one. What will cost em to fix this client hire 5-10 programists and all complains will end. On a daily basis there are people living because Riot Games cannot fix simple issues for months. It took em 8 years to realise that ranked system stinks.

After every patch i'm fucking praying for the client to fucking work.

Old client was much better and free from lags/bugs. The only problem it had, was high memory usage. Like 800- 1 gb of memory usage.

I've never had any problems with this client, until the past two weeks. After that last patch, I get BSOD??????!!!!

Bring back old client, it wasn't laggy, didn't have useless animations (looking at you fucking hextech crafting), never had bugs and had a damn public chat.

ohhhh boy this needed to be said. I don't think anyone would disagree with you, but it seems like Riot themselves don't give two shits (or haven't given any indication that they do)

It's an absolute shit pile. pages and tabs take seconds to load, there are animations for some things but not others, sometimes things don't show up or show up broken, it crashes constantly, sometimes I have to go through 10+ error messages and restarts in a row JUST TO PATCH, there are so many little tabs and hidden buttons half the time it feels like trying to solve a rubiks cube just to change my runes, it's legitimately the laggiest, least responsive client I've ever used, AND THERE'S STILL NO LOGOUT FEATURE. I HAVE TO QUIT THE WHOLE THING AND WAIT 5 MINUTES FOR IT TO BOOT AGAIN

I could go on and on but I don't think riot is listening to any of it

I couldn't even tell you how many times this client has crashed as I was loading into a ranked game and then refuse to let me reconnect to game... Currently on Leaver Buster because of it.

Man it's time for a good old game of League of Legends Opens client, gets in lobby, makes runes, runes don't save Everyone at 100%, doesn't load me in Client then slows down my PC Client then crashes and and makes my entire PC crash

I know my PC isn't the best but it's decent and I hardly ever have trouble running anything on it, and it can definitely handle league I'm convinced it's just the client that causes all these problems, as it only ever happens (on occasion not always) when I have the league client open

I think they need to focus on the client next season more than anything. It eats up way too many resources, it's buggier than fucking Mordekaiser and it just runs terribly even on the "low spec mode". They need to stop fucking around and put more resources into fixing the only way we can access their game.

I think the new client definilt looks good as far as design and the artistic point of view, it's not that bad estetically. The point is, nobody asked for it since the old client was fine, it's full of unnecessary animations that lag the game out and the clients from other companies usually aren't flashy at all, they are just you window to open the game. The game itself needs to look good, not the client. In any case I'm happy to say that I'm kind of forced to buy a super-laptop, so I hope the many bugs and problems with the new client won't come back to bite me in the butt.

Wow. Reading this thread is insane to me. The only problem I've ever experienced with the new client is that on occasion, Hextech Crafting will go black screen when I navigate to it (one in every dozen or so times). A bit irritating, to be sure, but at least it doesn't look like it was yanked directly out of the mid-2000s anymore.

For those curious if some factor in my hardware makes a difference, here's my spec listing for the important stuff: Intel i7-4790k @ 4.4GHz Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR3 16GB @ 2400 MHz MSI Radeon R9 390X 8GB Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD

Most of this stuff is nearing 5 years of age, so it's not like I'm running the newest, best and brightest the world has to offer at this point, so maybe I'm just lucky that the client doesn't spaz out on me on the regular.

The problem is that it varies wildly between players so you can't just hammer a fix out in a day. There's people with legit toaster PCs who have 0 bugs and no lag at all and people with beast PCs that lag like crazy. The only bug I've ever gotten with the new client is that the hextech loot page sometimes is black on the first try, but that's fixed by going back and forth to the store page. The old client barely worked for me, 99% of the time I couldn't join the post-game lobby.

I only encounter bugs,piece of shit client tbh,no other games takes 2 minutes with now cinematics whatsoever to load expect LOL...

I miss the old client, the new one takes so long to load evey patch need to be restarted some times pages just don't load. if a patch fails to load two times for me I will use the old launcher, and it fixes it. Takes a lot of time though.
