i've always been using morgana is a substitute for lux mid, now that i nearly have enough to buy lux which is the best of the 2. morgana snare is stronger and longer but a much longer cd then lux's and it can't hit 2 targets. lux rotation just seems better all around

are the Yin and Yang of the Binding spell but it is only there where their real similarities lie. In application, they are completely different champions who just play different roles, bringing different strengths to the team.

StoppedDig796051 voteswell that all depends on what u enjoy playing the most, lux can be a big lane bully due to her passive and the range on her W i think it was (long time since I played her) were as morg is better for teamfighting comps and team related comps, a good champ to lock down a large percent of their team, she is best in a wombo combo team. Again its all about what u find the most fun. I enjoyed playing them both.
Stonington1 votesMorgana's snare has a larger hitbox and a longer cast animation. It also needs levels before the snare lasts longer than Lux's. Morgana's snare is on a shorter CD than Lux's. Lux has better poke damage with her AOE, Morgana has better waveclear. Morgana has lower mana costs and better sustain through her spellvamp. Her auto attack is also very short ranged. Morgana's shield blocks magic damage and CC while Lux's shield is bigger, aoe, and can block all damages.
It really depends on what you want out of the champs. Morgana can roam better due to waveclear, better all in potential due to ult and spell vamp, and is easier to play/more reliable due to lack of skillshots. Lux is better at stay safe, is better at being a lane bully with poke, and can snipe objectives with her ult.
