How the Rework Priority SHOULD Be
Now, most people complain about Swain and Irelia getting their reworks before Aatrox and how badly he needs them and how he's such a bad champion. I'm not a boosted monkey and know that you guys ARE currently working on him https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/202294884-Champion-Update-Schedule
I'm talking after the next 3 champions that are reworked, who should come next?
The team that's on Swain right now should, in my opinion, pick up Nunu when they're done. Nunu is kinda like Aatrox in that he doesn't fit much of anywhere and is an exceedingly weak champion with very little you can do to give him more power without breaking him. A good Nunu doesn't let his opponent play League of Legends.
Nunu Rework: The Counterjungler Nunu's current niche is being a jungler with some alright clear sustain and a pretty nasty counterjungle. Amp this up to the max. When I pick Nunu after the rework, I want to be able to be 100% CERTAIN that my opponent doesn't get to farm, ever. Make his ganking and fighting the enemy jungler nearly worthless, but turn him into a counterjungling god who can wipe the enemy jungle in a matter of seconds, outrun his opponent if he gets caught, and transitions into being a massive tank for late game.
The team that's working on Irelia currently should pick up Akali afterwards. When I think Akali, I think probably the most traditional Ninja in League. She even has something reminiscent of a real ninja weapon, being her Kamas incredibly similar to a kusarigama, or a sickle and chain combo with a heavy metal weight attached to the end of the chain. Turn her into a true historical ninja, as they were in real life.
Akali: The Ninja Akali should remain a hybrid assassin, but give her more ways to approach a fight. A bit less burst for a bit more utility could be really good, and be sure to include a kusarigama technique or 2 in there. Perhaps even bushin no jutsu (shadow clones) for her ultimate! Historical ninja had far more tools at their disposal than would be even remotely possible to fit on one champion, even with a form swap, so take a look through their toolkits and decide which items would be best for an assassin to have.
The team that's working on Aatrox currently should pick up Volibear when they're done with him. The release of Ornn brought us some new lore for Volibear: rather than being the leader of a tribe of lightning bears, he's a literal god and brother to Ornn. Keep him as a juggernaut, but give him more ways to get into fights and more tankiness when he's there. And deliver much better on the LIGHTNING BEAR STORM GOD fantasy he's got in the lore.
