IDEA for a New Stat at the End Game Screen

Assassins, mages and other bursty champions often have lower overall damage compared to ADC and other sustained damage dealers, this makes it hard to compare how well you did in the endgame stats.

What about a Stat that shows:

**(total damage dealt to champions) / (total ammount of time spent dealing that damage) **

Kinda like how the practice dummy shows dps score, but calculated throughout the entire game.

This will give a much better idea of how you played as the burst champion.

Really if they just listed time in combat you could do your own math. Would save extra coding and such but give you a path to figure your DPS. Not sure why this is an issue anyway. Even with a strong ADC meta, in a good game my damage playing a mage was often comparable. Don't forget that a lot of mages can more reliably spread AoE damage in team fights while ADCs generally are more single target focused.

One example is, if you get really fed early as an assassin and the enemy team decides to play really safe around you/ not engage in fights when you are there. This means the threat of you is enough to keep them at bay, but you dont really get kills or opportunities to do damage and this will show as a "low" damage score.

Another example is as zed or rengar, your only mission (lategame) is to dive in and get the enemy carry, Their hp pool is low so your dmg will also be shown as low, even though you were the one who carried the fight. Its these kind of scenarios where you do a significant amount of burst on a high priority target, but still get "outshined" by the adc who basically right clicked on the tanks.

But by nature assassins aren't often doing damage across a whole enemy team throughout a fight. They are meant to slip in, get a squishy, maybe two, and get away, possibly getting a cleanup kill on a tank that a mage or adc whittled down. Their shining stat will be a high kill score.

In the end, there are already enough scores to show your contributions. A dps rating isn't necessary.
