only the AD ratio is nerfed

so it's worse on jhin mf and varus

They're nerfing the AD ratio not the AP ratio on it. Bottom lane mages shouldn't be building bonus AD as far as I know.

Bonus AD scaling lowered from 60% to 40%

I don't see how this is going to affect mages at all.

Generally, their only bonus AD is from Natural Talent, Baron and/or Infernal Drake.

The nerf is targetting Miss Fortune, Jhin and Varus.

It's for hitting Jhin, Varus, and MF, as well as some of the other abusers of it. And addressing damage creep overall.

The ability says Bonus AD Scaling, which means base AD is a non factor.

Unless you have AD in your runes, Masteries, or itemization, that should not affect a mage.
