@Riot, Why are you making Plants in a way smite buffs must be removed?
Along with the new plants Riot is adding, they are also removing Smite buffs. But why?
We all get the idea that Riot wants the game to keep feeling new through champions with crazy kits, reworks with crazy kits, and large-scale class updates. Problem with these is that they don't always work out. I mean, we've already reverted Kog'Maw, I've heard of people wanting to revert Quinn too, and I have to agree that Mordekaiser and Skarner need better reworks. Why am I talking about champion updates in a post about Plants? Well, they're going through the same problem. Riot wants to go through with these crazy changes that totally alter the game. Remember Vladimir? Now he's going through a really weird balance phase because of how Riot changed him and then didn't nerf him properly. And juggernauts? Look at Mordekaiser, he has the same problems with "item addiction" towards Rylai's that Vladimir had with Will of The Ancients. Honestly though, let's talk about the Jungle changes now.
Nine times out of ten, junglers start at either Gromp or Krugs. Both these camps give a smite bonus that almost guarantees that a jungler gets through their initial clear. Wolves and Raptors are super important too. Smiting wolves makes sure you can see if someone invades that side of your jungle (provided the little vision thing is up), while Raptors help you gank by seeing and clearing out wards. What do we get from smiting after plants are added? Health! Just health! Are we removing smite bonuses just to make plants work? If that's the case, just change plants so that we can have both smite buffs and plants. There's only so much RNG reliance the jungle can take. Do I want the vision of my own jungle to be based off a bunch of stuff sprouting out of the dirt? No, and don't give me the Season 6 shit of "We know what you want, you don't know what you want." I want my source of protection in the jungle to be reliable, I want smite buffs; not these small healing buffs and random plants. I'm not against the idea of adding plants, shown from what my last post says. I just don't like the idea of how plants are being added. RNG spices up every game, but there's a point where it can get too far.
Just TL;DR, I think we should have plants, but make them work with Smite buffs too.
