So basicly Riot wants games to last as long as a game of Overwatch
Or why not Hearthstone.
Or why not Hearthstone.
Quicker games means less time wasted on dealing with games that have been lost. It's nice that games don't last 40 minutes anymore. I'd rather lose in 20 minutes than spend 40 minutes watching my base crumble slowly while being forced to stay in-game to avoid leave buster because 2 toxic players don't understand that we've no chance of winning unless the whole entire enemy team suddenly dies of heart failure. It's also nice to win in under 20 minutes instead of 30-40 minutes. It's rather annoying having to spend an extra 10-15 minutes in a game that you've already won only because the game itself limits you to how fast you can win. This means that you can climb 2-3x as fast as compared to before where you'd have to waste over 1 hour on just one game alone.

That's what Dominion was for, but no one played it.

I played a fair bit of Dominion. Maybe 100-200 games. I stopped playing because no one knew what to do. Everyone just wanted to fight instead of taking the objectives.
