This new pick or ban Tristana meta is somehow even worse than the pick or ban Caitlyn meta.

Trist may not be as oppressive in lane on the surface but her all in is a lot better, she snowballs a lot harder, and ganking a Tristana lane is basically impossible. She also scales way harder than Caitlyn so a Tristana that gets rolling is basically unstoppable and your only real option is to 1 shot her; lord knows you can't stick to her for more than a moment with her resettable jump and disengage ult.

This is how the Meta Locust work. Once they have depleted one field and left it a barren wasteland of nerfs they move onto the next

Let me point out something interesting. Trist actually has a lower winrate than Cait @ 45 min+ in plat+ games. My guess is that this has to do with the fact that she builds item 3031 item 3087 item 3094 , which is really midgame centric. She isn't even amazing with Censer, as she doesn't synergize all that well with Runaans unlike the hyperscaling Kog and Twitch.

In game 2 of the SKT vs. SSG series, a 6 item Tristana (ruler) wasn't even able to put meaningful damage on the Top lane Maokai (I saw a 232 crit, which isn't much really against a 3k+ HP tank). So I don't think Trist scales as hard as she used to. It's all about Kog and Twitch late game now.

one ADC gets nerfed (caitlyn) , we cant throw salt at her anymore, time to move on to the next one (Tristana)

Once trist gets nerfed (following the pattern of complaints to nerf formula) jinx should be next on the menu.

After that, we will be left with only short ranged ADCs. the dream is almost realized, people. lets get to it.

on the plus side, the amount of yasuo posts has dropped to a record low.

Here's the difference between Trist and Cait and the main reason why Cait is a healthier champ, nothing interrupts Trist's W, everything interrupts Caitlyn's E.

You can actually play around Cait's E. Trist can buffer her W to essentially be a QSS that works on displaces. This is a strength that's completely inappropriate for a hypercarry like Trist, it's OK on Ezreal because when he slips away he doesn't melt your team.

I really only ban Tristana when I'm playing Jhin, otherwise I ban MF, Twitch, Draven, etc.

I'm Bronze 2 and you don't see Tristana as often though.

Trist + Janna is a statcheck you can't even easily opt out of fighting. I hated the Lulu + Kog cheese, but even they couldn't insec you with impunity once they had a lead.

Crit itemization is too gold efficient when combined with ardent censer making the only weak point(only IE/ER) not even weak.

I mean. the ad carry role is op. there is really no other way to say it. I've had Jinx's tank more damage than tanks because of how lifesteal works and ardent censor.
