Coming back after 4 months

This game is still a train wreck. I gave it a break with the release of dark souls 3, overwatch, and more.

Come back and Riot still hasn't addressed the issues before I left.

Clarity is still super low. Whether its in text or in mechanics.

JarvanIV Taliyah "Creates impassible terrain" watches a Yasuo slide through it. Azir "creates impassible wall" Yasuo bounces off it. Riot do you know what impassible means? It means not able to be passed through conventional methods aka you can't go through it you can go anywhere else and make it around aka blinks really should be the only thing to pass it.

Even the game philosophy is still all over the place. Yasuo is probably one of the most mobile characters in the game and has a panic button for anti range with no drawbacks (aka a meaningful cast time) while also having pretty damn good MS to boot and a huge damage/defensive steroid for a passive.

The most logical thing they have done is remove enchantments because it just added excess power into the game and made everything harder to balance. Yet it contradicts their previous actions this season of introducing keystone masteries. Hell they even went around and made dragons better but the only drawback is that you have no clue which one you are getting. In fact most of them need some nerfs. Damage dragon should be 6% each (hello remember the reason you nerfed it to 6% to begin with). A dragon that amps damage to structures by 10% and as true damage when structures are already paper and also tickle you.

Mana sustain is still a major issue in lane that chokes out of a lot of champs. Hence people like Zed, Yasuo, and more are continuously clouding out the mid lane meta. Top lane is still a fucking island because who in their right mind would take a 1 person objective the encourages top lane to be an island even more when they can take the one that encourages team play.

Also there are so many bugs that have been around for months that still have not been fixed. Like people just walking out of Veigar's stun without previously being stunned. Or hit boxes acting super wonky involving super fast usually high altitude dashes. And abilities still have the tendancy to bug out like sometimes Veigar's ult will randomly disappear if you run too far but not go on CD. Or abilities will play the animation and do nothing then not go on CD without death or CC stopping it.

Caster crit ADCs are still super dominant meaning that 75% of ADCs are situationally viable. Games are still decided in the first 10 minutes and by top tier picks.

I spent a lot of money on this game for my pleasure and I will not spend more as long as Riot continues to make questionable decisions. I have long lost the ability to play the game normally and have fun.

Trolls like you are the problem with this game. So constructive of you leave a sarcastic comment. It's the reason this game is very much turning into the reason I fell in love and out of love with Call of Duty. I fell in love with how great the games played, but the player base deteriorated beyond repair and blindly poured money into each really bad game after another no matter how bad they were and continued to support them when they didn't improve. It's how you kill a franchise.

League needs to sit down and take a look at their game before they end up like Call of Duty. A fad that got way too big and stopped acting like a game company and like a bunch of 10 year olds. When a game company calls people christmas noobs I think you are at a point of no return. Riot is essentially doing the same thing here. Trying to build up a really young and immature player base to farm cash when it previously was about people who were in high school or older and that was when the game was at it's best. Cash cowing a game only thinks of the short run and not the long run.

You want people to buy into your game then you have to continuously put out a decent effort to put out new content or fix the old problems and you have to find a mix of both. You can't just ignore things for years and then say we fixed it after you have slowly killed the game for half your player base.

You know how many of my friends who play league have quit league? About 90% of them. That is at least 20 people who have quit because they lost interest or faith in Riot. Not a single one of them says maybe I'll come back. They don't have an intention of ever coming back. Catering to your player base is how you get the long term. Runescape was a titan for almost 10+ years. And the reason it died was one poor decision against the player base's will that spiraled for about 2-3 years and now the game is kind of back on an upwards swing, but none of the old players are going to go back. The bad taste is already in their mouths and the game has changed too much.

Also, I am in college. There used to be a table in the student union of 10+ people who rotated inbetween classes all day back in 2013-2014 playing league exclusively. Now not a single person sits there. And I have yet to see anyone else playing the game in the last 2 years. As much as people want to say Riot isn't killing this game. They are. Sure you could say that the people may have graduated or whatever, but usually anyone was free to sit and join. Hell, it even got so busy that there would be 5 man groups sitting at pairs of tables on their laptops playing in other areas. Yet I do not see that anymore ever. No one is willing to brave the shitty college wifi anymore to have fun because it would simply just be for naught.

Considering you get mad at me typing two words I dont even know why you waste your time typing 5 paragraphs.

Also if anyone thought this was to rip on Yasuo. It's not. He's just one of the first people I think of when I think of flawed character design. Like Mcree in Overwatch. There are just certain people that stick out in each game and those 2 are probably out the biggest outliers, but at the very least Blizzard plans on dealing with Mcree. Riot just kind of let's specific people run rampant for awhile then randomly go "Oh there's a champ called X that's been a problem you say. Why didn't you tell us sooner?" after its been a problem for numerous months.

While I am not willing to criticize Riot, I agree with you about the "immaturity" comments which you spoke about posts and destructive vocal tendencies of members of a gaming community wholeheartedly. This new generation of gamers is something else, man, I'm almost in my thirties now, I find myself increasingly smiling at stupid drivel like "git gud nub'". I was born in the "Attitude Era" and we were never "this" toxic, we played games without internet in the living room with our buddies, we wern't raised on the internet (at least my friends and I weren't). Like packs of piranha fish, don't let the millennials get to you Jeff.

I may not be as old as you. I am 21, but yeah the maturity has dropped a lot and it doesn't help that league is entirely text based for chatting. It's really hard to tell sarcasm through text unless you make it pretty damn obvious. I mean the first game I ever played was Star Craft when I was 5 you learn very quickly how to be mature when you are playing a game you can barely understand. I feel like people especially on League like to play the whole group mentality thing of if its okay with everyone then it is actually fine. People need to eventually learn to step back and say maybe they are wrong and these things actually need to change instead of the "Since everyone else does it, you should too."

It's why having boot enchantments removed was so nice. Because Riot realized that there was something causing major creep in the game and decided it was time to try and find solutions instead of just trying to creep everything else up. Creep has caused this game to hit the point its at now where 75+% of games are snowball fests pre-10 minutes. I'm surprised anyone actually enjoys watching pros play the game anymore with how the game is currently.
