Few have noticed, but Riot are actually slowly achieving our No Crit dream.

It all starts from that item item 3143 You think, it's nothing? Before this one, we had nothing. 10% overall crit reduction is nothing to joke about. Now, ADC. No Crit builds are finally becoming popular. No Crit Ezreal was always viable, now there are plenty of guys and girls joining him: MissFortune Sivir Jhin Lucian Graves Draven Varus Tristana Ashe

Take a look at this: item 3142 item 3158item 3147 item 3156 item 3071 item 3033 Pros of this build compared to the usual crit one:

  1. Zero reliance on crit (with crit you have to add more crit to item 3031 to get stronger, to get that synergy), item 3143 is useless against it.
  2. 40% CDR just as item 3508item 3158 have with crits
  3. More hp/more survivability
  4. Arguably more damage at all stages of the game
  5. comes from 1., buying defensive items such as item 3139 doesn't feel as awkward as when you do it when you have crit
  6. With full arpen runes I reach 59 flat ARPEN, now add armor reduction to that, % bonus armor penetration and -% to healing to top all that.
  7. I have a very useful Youmuu active that lets me run faster and overpower enemies when I need to.
  8. Duskblade severely destroys 1vs1 if used along with several abilities as a burst.
  9. I still have lifesteal exactly when I need it.

Now I ask you to join me and stop relying on RNG crit, once the crit becomes unpopular, there will be no need for its presence in this game.

  1. is just wrong. Critbuilts still outscale non crit built in damage by far later on, just that the game is currently very early-mid game focused, and arpen builts are far stronger early-mid game

Crit isn't problem on marksman though, crit is problem on Tryndamere Yasuo and Gangplank, because early in the game you can't judge if you can trade them, or if you can't.

Especially on GP it sucks when you outplay a barrel explosion that didn't crit this time, just to have him smack you with passive enhanced basic attack that indeed critically stroke and speed away... god, THE worst feeling in the game.

On marksman it's different, because they don't get free crit, nor they have critting abilities usually, so you CAN lose full-on duel due to RNG, but crit is less likely to lose you the lane like it does on top, because on ranged champions it's easier to disengage.

Well, you can always get crit runes, if you can last hit with 50 AD. I used to play Graves prerework with 10 % crit chance page and people were always: "WTF", when Q+crit was 1shotting them. Yasuo mains were playing with crit chance too, before the Statikk/PD changes.

Trading with gp in the early game? you're suppost to smash him early game, if you don't control him, he will just nuke your entire backline and melt your frontline. he's meant to be weak in early, as he has many bad matchups. yasuo and trynd? no idea..

Why would you ever decide not to get Critical Strike stuff on Jhin and Ashe? Just so dumb...

Have you tried that build before writing this comment?

There's literally no reason to. Your strategizing is terrible. You get Ionian boots even when going critical strike? Shameful. I can't even remember the last time I got those boots. I don't even use CDR runes anymore. There are way too many items giving CDR now, and the values are never low like 5 percent. I'd sooner get IBG on my Marksman than CDR boots. There's never a single item build that works on that many champs...they're too unique for that. Sivir for example will get way more out of Green Sword than Blue Sword. Big Black Axe is great on Sivir because her ultimate helps her whole team gap close and it gives them more physical damage as they chase/fight...Duskblade can be great on Jhin because you can time it to hit with your fourth shot for some epic damage. Every champ has some sweet items they can get, I'm not denying that, but to call a full 6 item set great for 10 champs is just silly.

I've always disliked people spamming critical strike on non-crit champs...but it doesn't mean I hate on people for getting critical strike on crit champs. And if you're not getting critical strike on crit champs, I suppose you also do not get armor on Rammus or health on Braum...yes? I mean I can justify you taking only 1 item with that stat in rare circumstances but to lay out a gameplan for buying 6 items none of which have the stat just seems really dumb for you're refusing to acknowledge how the champion works or simply don't care to do your best.

It's sad how Ashe most popular build is the korean "get outplayed" build, since she was reworked to be built specifically with crit.

Crit problem wasn't that it was build everytime, it was the in early lvl you had a weak chance which made RNGOD deciding your game.

this is still a problem like Tryndamere

Arguably more damage? This statement is very very wrong. Crit significantly out damages non crit builds.

i just see adc abusing bruiser and assassin items for the 100th time.

if they want to rework crit, then they should rework crit, but lucian building ghostblade cleaver, and mf building duskblade is by no means intended. its just abusing cheese by utilizing ranged burst in these champions kit with duskblade, and stacking every armor pen item available, which is simply the most optimal attack multiplier.

if you want to make an argument for your case, i wouldnt focus on unintended abuse cases, like lucians korean build, but riots new trend to make on-hit builds viable and strong.

item 3124

THAT was the actual attempt to make carries that dont rely on crit, but attack speed and on-hit damage items instead.

IE is one of the most inefficient items in the game by itself, ghostblade during active is near twice efficient, so that's one problem.
