I dont know what formula Riot uses to calculate placement outcomes but it is seriously FUCKED

I was plat 4 last season with normal MMR (around 50% winrate). I went 6-4 in placements and got placed in silver fucking 1. Meanwhile, some guy who was in one of my game was gold 2 goes 4-6 in his placements and gets placed into gold 4. I'm fucking done. Why do I even bother tryharding in my placements when I can just fuck around and go 0-10 and probably come out with the same results. Is anyone else experiencing this kind of bullshit?

How does a plat 4 player drop to silver 1? Not even close to what your mmr should be.

You probably had Gold 1 MMR, Plat 4 Elo. I have 3 friends who went Gold 1 to Silver 1, so this makes sense.

he had better mmr and win rate than you thats why he dropped 2 divs down happened to me year ago from g5 to g3

sounds like last season. They'll always put you behind, and there everyone works their way up. But I think Plat to silver is a bit too extreme, though...
