AP Ez is like Lee Sin/Riven

He is broken, but requires so much pratice and skill that people don't realize that, because they just see the bad AP Ez players.

I am saying that because I just faced an AP Ez player that was actually very skilled with him, he did insane damage and was extremely difficult to kill. His ult took more than half of my health. His burst damage was impressive.

AP Ez with his instant repositioning and global range burst is inherently toxic in a meta centered around protecting carries. What kept AP Ez in the lime light before Runeglaive was the risky early game due to no CC and bad wave clear. As others stated Runeglaive removes his early game weaknesses and helps him transition into a hyper carry earlier.

Once he get items he does so much damage due to his scaling and low cooldowns that it's nearly impossible to itemize against him. The only solution is to get to him and blow him up but this becomes very difficult when he has 3 tanks (and the ADC) protecting him and he has flash + his E.

Just imagine if Lux lost her snare and slow, but her E was turned into an instant blink with AoE damage while keeping the rest of her kit intact. Her ult would put her in the same spot AP Ez is right now.

That's exactly what happened on my battle. We couldn't catch him because he could reposition himself with his E, and even then, he had a lot of peel due to the enemy tanks.

It's a funny example you give considering Lux scores much better than AP Runeglaive Ezreal.

This "toxic" Ezreal you're referring to has literally only mobility and damage. Everything else is a huge draw-back.

*No CC - this is pretty huge as I'm sure you've seen the big teamfight wins Viktor, Orianna, etc. can create in part due to CC not just raw damage ^^^this can be OK if your comp. has a lot of CC elsewhere *little waveclear even with Runeglaive *a fairly useless Summoner Spell until you spend 2250g - making laning riskier ^^^it's not realistic to upgrade Smite earlier because getting that instead of Sheen etc. would only set you farther back *needs ~25 minutes to hurt if not fed. (which should mean at least a Dragon, if not more) *poor ability to roam compared to most mids ^^^not talking about just relative to Talon, Katarina or Ahri but even compared to Lux ^^^^Why? It's basically the points out-lined, he can't waveclear fast enough to roam, has no lockdown, does little damage without items and he doesn't run ignite. *his damage relies on narrow skillshots and everything except the shorter-ranged W can be reduced in damage or blocked by a strong frontline (Maoko, Rek'Sai, Gragas, Nautiuls etc.) ^^^in fact, carries shouldn't get chunked all that hard if they position safely behind other members or minions and if the team buys a Locket for the poke *has to build full-damage until very late to be relevant (compare to Swain, Karthus with RoA + Zhonya's) and this makes him very vulnerable to targetted CC and hard-engage *mediocre AoE except for his ult. (mostly narrow skillshots that can be tanked by frontline) compared to Karthus, Orianna, Malzahar, Heimerdinger etc. which again means that there is some vulnerability vs hard-engage comps. *limited sustained damage.... yes he has his low CD Q and it hurts but compared to Azir, AP Kog, Karthus and a few others, it isn't great ^^^to clarify, he works best as burst and as poke *doesn't have a positive winrate in ANY ELO (even the highest tier of play) *has several counters that are overwhelming statistical favorites (<40% winrate vs Talon for example)

and now here are the advantages: *safe farmer vs most matchups *insane burst potential with 3-4 items ^^^he actually is strongest in the deep mid-game rather than super late game because with BVs and Locket, his damage grows much less than the defense does for the enemies *great skirmishing and 1vs1 potential with a few items (especially if there are no minions nearby to reduce the ult. damage or soak up your E and Q) *excellent mobility with his E *good poke

Ez doesn't have CC. However, he more than makes up for that with raw damage and mobility. He would be even more powerful if he happened to have CC

Runeglaive doesn't solve his waveclear problems. It only does like 250 late game with a full build, so hes still gonna need to use it like 3 times to kill caster minions with the aoe. It doesn't give him cc, so idk why u put that there. (unless you build blue smite, but everyone goes red)

Also, I love laning against ap ez with smite. He has no lane pressure at all before he gets a luden's l0l. Always win against him.

Not true, some grab purple, which you know... fixes one of his problems.

Purple doesnt give u sustain unless u smite a monster. You're gonna have to miss atleast 1-2 cs each time you walk to raptors and even then, it grants no lane presence

i don't think ap ez is that hard to play, honestly plays the same as nidalee does (which isn't that hard either). poke poke, once they're low e in and kill.

i'm 8-0 on ap ez this season
