Cass is more or less unplayable. How did this happen?

Whoever redesigned Cass had absolutely no knowledge of game balance. Right now, she's basically a low range, immobile, sustained DPS caster. Which just happens to get destroyed by basically everything commonly picked right now. This is kind of sad.

She can't do anything against heavy burst champions, because she requires close range and a long period of time to do damage. Currently, the game revolves around champions who can 100 to 0 you in 2 seconds. She dies before she can do any significant damage.

Worse, most champions can CC her during her ult cast. It seems the purpose of it was to give her time to do damage, but as the enemy champion will counter it with their own CC, it results in a net gain; and once they come out of it, Cass is going to get out-bursted.

She also has a lot of trouble with all of the popular ADCs, because they either out-range her ultimate, or have too much mobility for her to land poison on.

Basically, she's unplayable. She can't do her job as an AP carry effectively, she can't survive or win against any popular mid lanes, and she has a much higher skill requirement than burst casters, but much less reward.

Am I the only one who thinks it's silly to rework a champion, with no consideration for how that champion will fit into the current state of the game?

This is sad. Being Diamond I in every season, and Platinum before Diamond was added, I cannot beat Gold players as Cass.

I just played a Gold III Veigar, who could kill me in the duration of his stun. In order to do any damage to him, I had to get in range of his stun, giving him ample opportunity to kill me before I can touch him.

This player was missing 4/5 of his stuns, and he still won. Even without landing the stun, he could burst me from 100 to 0 during my ult's casting animation, even though I rushed Rylai, because I had to get in range of his entire combo to damage him.

I'm legitimately curious as to how this is okay.

I mean, it IS Veigar. This isn't exactly the best example.

The movementspeed nerf on Q also hurts A LOT . Considering how often she has to stop for casting she an neither kite nor chase now, especially if we consider how mobility heavy the meta has become.

Try learning how to play her first.

Bronze players don't get to have input on game balance, sorry.

still better than you with her.

She isn't that bad! What the hell is your problem and what makes you think that you know how to balance a game that you didn't even create or design. The designer of the Cass rework didn't just slap a bunch of changes onto a board and told nerds to program it into the game. The designer actually had his reasons believe it or not. And it really doesn't matter that much, she is not unplayable, in fact, she's a pretty strong pick. Clearly, if you are getting 100-0'd in 2 seconds you are building wrong. Regardless, that's kind of the whole point of burst mages, to burst people. You are dps, you excell in long fights, this means, THE OPPOSITE OF BURSTY MAGES. "Most champions can cc her during her ult cast." Is this even new? And besides that, WHO? I mean, I'm sure anyone with hard CC can but then again, hard CC can interupt most ANYTHING! For real, you don't need to get up in the face of an ADC. Lay down poison, zone them, all while breaking the front line of the opposing team. This is something Cass is especially good at.

Also, as of 2 days ago, Cass has above a 52% win rate. Clearly she is far from unplayable.
