So towers commit seppuku as you approach.

It just takes ages cos they can't hurt a leaf let alone themselves.

Near pointless in solo q. One Infernal is basically as good as having all the other ones If the enemy team is dumb enough to group for those others and even have their top come down dont worry about them and enjoy getting a farm and xp advantage. In competitive the non infernal are often the "Theres nothing else to do might as well get dragon" objective.

Infernal is far weaker than Air at any point of the game. While lane phase is going, it is also far weaker than water. And finally, during sieges and splitpushing, it is weaker than earth. People drastically overvalue fire drake.

I don't see how the Fire dragons weaker than other dragons. Unless your team is full of tanky champions which are not going to build as much AD and AP. And even then, the ADC is always going to take a lot of advantage of this dragon.

Granted, other dragons are not to be understimated, but I don't see how Fire dragon is weak.

It isn't weak. All the dragons are strong and giving them up for free is very painful. People just over value it relative to the other dragons.

Anyway, why I say the others are better:

Air : the provided mobility allows for stronger objective control, roaming, escape from bad situations, better engage. It quickly gets out of hand the more of these you have. Extra damage isn't as good as map control imo.

Water : In lane, this can be completely transformative in how you can play. It can easily turn losing matchups into winning ones and winning matchups into complete run overs. It also allows you to stay on the field longer to press any advantages you pick up. During lane phase, I'd choose this over fire every time. It's still very strong late, but I think it's real shine is during lane.

Earth : For split pushing and objective taking, it simply outperforms fire. I'd rather have fire for pvp, but if my goal is to sneak jungle objectives or punish misjudgment to get towers, I'd rather have earth hands down.

Fire is one of the best for actual team fights, but those are just a small part of the game really.

Well, that's because people do not understand the value of non-combat stats. They think that LoL is all about fighting each other to death. Same reason to why people over-value kills (even though farming and taking objectives is actually what win games)

Other dragons do not give direct combat capabilities against enemy champions (Water Dragon used to, before the nerf that made it not activate during combat) which is why people overvalue Fire dragon compared to other dragons.

Also, people do not understand that Fire Dragon isn't very useful for bruisers, tanks, and supports, which are not going to build as much AD or AP to begin with. For those champions, other dragons are better. Fire Dragon is mainly useful for ADCs, assassins, mages, and those squishier fighters.

Even mages and assassins don't get that much since they rely more on base damage, especially early. Don't get me wrong, it's great, it just doesn't translate into as much of a damage increase as many people think.

It's really hard to defend when the opposing team has 2 earth drakes and Baron. Not only can they seige but the extra damage dealt to the turret whittles it down faster and faster.

You also deal bonus damage to dragons and baron. :O

Dragon and Baron speed

Towers get melted late-game quickly, true. But with a couple mountain drakes, picking off two enemies and then sieging 5/3, you'll have a much easier time getting two nexus turrets and the nexus itself before those enemies respawn.

To make it harder for Baron to get stolen as it increases the damage of summoner 11 .

I always tell my team it is ironic we are leaving our towers to fall so we can group up and get mountain dragon.
