How do I disable my chat?

I need to disable my chat.. I'm feeling more and more rage everytime I play and I don't want to get banned for screaming at teammates.

Literally 500 games of trolling and toxic behavior is wearing me extremely thin. I need to mute myself. Im very thoughtful and nice to people when they try even if they are bad.. But alot of people shouldnt even be in the leo they are they just troll.

I dont care if we win or lose if it;s a good game. But it's almost never a good game. Its always 1 person who is really good.. 4 people who are really bad.. It;s never 5 evenly skilled players against 5 players of the same skill.

There's a setting for it ingame to disable all chat, but I don't think there's a way to do it for team chat. I wonder if there's a way to unmap the chat key? Short of that, try typing what you want to say out in Notepad instead?

League of Legends ranked system is designed to placed 5 evenly skilled vs 5 evenly skilled. If you are in the same game, your evenly skilled (aside from duoing). You can't otherwise because there will never be a Silver player playing with a Master player in Ranked Solo. It's all even matchmaking, its just that some players underperform in some games, doesn't make them worst than other players in their elo, just means they had a bad game.

Use a sharp knife point and vigorously scratch out the chat area directly on your monitor screen as to block out any text displayed.

Use this optimal method at your own discretion. Do not apply if you have severe hand tremors for you may damage your monitor beyond repair from puncturing.
