This isn't fun for either side, and it's pretty clear that the system makes no effort to create a balanced match. These games aren't even useful as practice.
EDIT: I just had a level 6 player duo queued with a 47% win rate Silver V player on my team. I'd love to hear a Rioter explain how that happened.

Jungle is unplayable in games like this. I'd rather sit in queue for 10 minutes and get a decent game, or just not play at all if this is the only option.

Like, I can feel myself becoming a more toxic individual because I keep getting Silver in my games. All my games get decided at champ select because the enemy team keeps abusing the Silver that the system puts on my team to balance me out with the enemy team's mmr. I'm reaching a point where I'm fucking fed up with normal games. This shit blows beyond reason. I'm going to end up banning out teammates and soft-inting and shit at this rate because I just can't deal with it anymore. Every normal I play's just a struggle to enjoy a damn match. It's worse than fucking ranked.

I just had a level 6 player duo queued with a Silver V on my team. I have ~56% win rate in normal over 1000-some games.
I'm pretty sure normal MMR is no longer used, because there's no way these players can be anywhere near high enough to be in a game with me.
Or, more likely, it just picks players at random and tries to average the MMR of both teams, which would explain why the skill levels are a complete clusterfuck in almost every game.
Pika Fox1 votesThey cant. You can queue with anyone in normals, you cant in ranked. So if you have a challenger playing with a new level 5 friend theres no physical way to make the game super fair and balanced.
HP Crookshanks1 votesNo they can. Atleast a challenger and a new player balance out each other. Instead of making it 4 dia & 1 plat players vs 1 plat & 4 gold players they can make it 2 dia & 1 plat & 2 gold players vs 2 dia & 1 plat & 2 gold players to make the game more fair and balanced.
Pika Fox1 votesIf you think a challenger player and a new player balance each other out, then damn. The reality is a challenger player will hard stomp someone even at a D2 level, and can easily 1v5 most normal games if they play seriously.
And, again, ranked mmr means nothing in normals. Different queue.

This account is unranked, in norms last week i had a team of myself and 2 other unranked players, a silver 4 Udyr top, and a silver 3 bard support,
Enemy team was a plat 5 
vi mid who proceeded to shit all over me Q AA>E and i died when he hit lvl 2 first, so you can guess how that lane went, Enemy jg and adc were both Gold 5, and the enemy support zilean was plat 4, but they had a silver 4 pyke top, so it was totally a fair match /s. Enemy botlane and mid lane straight up won, and with jg help pyke beat udyr too, it dragged out a bit b/c our nunu jg went tanky and the enemy team all built glass cannon (gotta style on those lower ranked players w/ the 1shots ya kno?) and i got a few kills and was able to snag a couple kills here and there.
I learned some mechanics that vi can do, sure, but was that game fun? Hell the fuck no.
