So I've been seeing smite teleport top more times than I would want to

And all those times, the tank only needs skirmishers to duel with the enemy in lane.

Cinderhulk and skirmishers top works so well, it's fucking disgusting, you've got tanks fighting Bruisers and beating them hard BEFORE 20 minutes, I can understand past 20 but that hard before?

Like, who the hell needs flash top when you can run smite TP, do a jungle camp, tp to lane, and acquire lane dominance with the early level up?

I'm gonna start conforming with the sheep, smite tp works really well on shit like Sion, Maokai, Mundo, Nautilus, and it's disgusting.

Need to test with Bruisers to confirm.

Went against Smite/TP Zac yesterday. Killed him twice, beat him in CS, only died once from a J4 gank.

I was playing Renekton, so maybe that had something to do with it. It seems early aggression hard counters Smite top, since they have no Flash to escape and no Skirmisher's for a while. I was bullied out at first because he had early level 2, but I recalled, got Null Magic Mantle, and proceeded to TP back to lane and kill him while he was 3 and I was 2.

Lost game (J4 and Ez got fed), but I won lane.

Well, it's really fucking strong, it's going to get nerfed 100%

It's not super strong. The reason why it works is because of strong counterjungle, good objective control. However, you sacrifice mobility (if you don't bring flash) or map pressure(no tp), and you will suffer if you get camped. Getting camped is a good way to control tp smite.

EDIT: It's strong, just has it's flaws. Not super strong imo

Why can't you also start a camp without smite (wolves are quite easy) then teleport to lane? Negate the level advantage from them starting a camp, and you'll have either flask or a useful item against their machete. Add in the fact that you have flash or ignite (teleport + ignite is strong, I think we're finally showing that flash is overrated) you should be able to bully them hard in lane.

Regardless of whether you started a camp or not, they won't have teleport for a while because they teleported to lane. Use your item advantage to bully them out of lane quickly (ideally before they can buy skirmishers but either way...) and you should secure a significant xp and cs lead from their need to run back to lane.

You don't need smite to do a camp at level 1. Not running flash makes you an easy gank.

But taking flash+teleport was never an issue? Or everyone taking flash? Strategic diversity, please!

It is a strat for people who can farm fairly safely under their turret early on. Or who intend to push then roam. If they do neither of those things you can punish them for taking it.

Once you know that you can work around it if your jungle and team are paying attention.

i figured out a way to punish most of these people, i choose renek into them and force a fight at level 2 usually ill get a kill then and then they either lose tower when they go to roam or do something or i just tower dive them and pick up free kills

EDIT: also early you can shove the lane hard as renek at level 1 to rush level 2 and you get it at about the same times most of the champs who run this

Shy is not a tank, Hec is not a tank, they are bruisers. What tanks are you seeing that are going top?
