@Meddler KARMA CHANGES COMING SOON

I really hope when you do the Karma changes you do more than just nerf her R+E shield. All you have done to this champion is buff her numbers. You stripped her identity, removed Karma's fans, didn't complete her animations or VU, and continue to ignore her problems. Karma doesn't need number buffs. She needs the attention you gave Ryze for 5 years, that should have been given to her one to two years ago.

If there is anything good from the number buffs is that there is proof that people do like Karma. A lot of that is partly due to the unnecessary number buff to her Mantra Shield, that no one asked for to begin with. It is proof that if you spend the time on a champion and actually do something, people will play it. You did do something to Karma, but you pushed her way too much and didn't really tackle the real problems with her.

Karma is a mage and secondary support. Right now Karma is a support. You stripped her of any element of mage Karma had. She has only one damage move, since I don't even count the tick of Mantra Q very reliable damage because players can just walk right out of it. W doesn't fit with her kit or is hardly used . . . and could be replaced or worked into something more useful. No one liked R+E to begin with and you only made it relevant with the number buffs. Karma's passive is useless after six. You make Karma a beast early game as a mage, but you almost make her have to go support late game because her damage falls off. I think she does WAY too much damage early game.

Do something other than adjust her numbers. PLEASE for the love of God. Do something other than buff and nerf her numbers, because your team is looking like you don't care about the champion, but how she functions in the LCS.

Just rework her already. They randomly buff her for a fell patches only to nerf her after. We need to have a reason to pick her. Just give her the grounded status or something. Just something that make her worth picking over other champions.

Right. I agree.

How would you like to see the Grounded mechanic implemented into her kit?

CoolKnightST1 votes

Personally I would give it to her W. But it's also possible to implement in her ult Q or ult W.

It would probably be a bit much for her RQ, but for RW it could make sense. Would you want the function of RW to change for the Grounded mechanic? For example: RW binds Karma to her target for 4s preventing mobility spells with the root removed entirely. Or would you like to see RW ground the target for 2s while the tether is active, then root as usual?

I would do the grounding effect during the tether so they can't dash away. They probaly will have to remove the bonus root duration from the RW but I think it's worth it. With her already early strengths she will cause a danger against dash champions.

So you'd have it ground the enemy for 2s then root them for 1s? That seems like it might be able to work.

That's right ;)

Personally I find her W kinda boring. A clothesline mechanic might be cool but I'd be ok with a more offensive, more interesting mechanic with more counterplay.

It actually already has some decent counterplay and the healing part of the RW is crucial in orde to make her kit function.

What would be a possible & intressting change is to change it to a utility spell entirely by removing the damage from the W and shift the selfhealing to her W (rather than her RW) and maybe adding damage to it again for her RW. I always liked the selfhealing element in her kit but their are just not many situations you can use it during the ult restrictions.

Exactly! I made a karma passive rework idea if you wanna look at it. I've decided that it was too complicated kinda, and I think Ima change it so her defense stance does a ludens type heal and her offense stance does a ludens type negative effect. Or something of that like.

As far her passive goes, she just need one based on her old kit. Something with ability power like charges bonus ability power over time that she consume on cast or something.

An alternative option would be that we change her to the mobility support where she gains ability power based on her movementspeed. That would give her an intressting interaction with her E and items like item 3069 item 3800 item 3504. As well in the midlane with item 3100 item 3285

What was her old passive? I want to fit her duality theme and her play style when I remake her passive. Currently I'm not sure really. She's kinda like a poke Mage but not super high range. She's not a close range or DoT Mage either.

Passive - Inner Flame: Karma gains 0.3 - 1.3 (based on level) bonus ability power for each 1% of her missing health.

This is the full mini rework I want to suggest:

  • Passive: Gain bonus ability power based on your movementspeed.
  • Q: Unchanged, but auto attacks will reduce the cooldown with one second.
  • QR: Unchanged, but will now count as an interrupt (cancel teleport & channel abilities)
  • W: Unchanged
    • RW: Now adds the grounded status to the tether, the extra bonus root duration is removed
  • E: Unchanged (maybe 1 second cd more on the shield & and an ap ratio nerf)
    • RE: Now also aplies the shield to nearby allies when their where not in the range while it was casted. The range is centered arround the person you cast the ability on. For example if you cast ult RE on your ally. The nearby allies that where not in range of the cast will have to get nearby the ally in orde to still recieve the shield. Note that the shield they recieve will expire on the same time the others recieved it.
