Any general tips on improving my LB?

I've been trying to play LB more the expand my champion pool a bit, and I do enjoy how her kit works. I just find a bit unforgiving to play. And pointers on how to improve are highly appreciated.

I can't say specifically how you might improve because I've never seen you play / played with you.

I will tell you however, that a good way at improving is going back and watching replays of games where you might have made a mistake / could have done something better. Take a mental note of that, and consciously try to avoid that mistake / improve on something infuture games. Could be anything from not warding, to chasing too far, to not listening to an allies ping, etc.

Personally speaking, this has helped me a lot with my warding game. I used to fall behind in the ward score a lot (Oh yeah, I only support) because I got lazy, but I started making it a priority to have wards up as often as possible, and last year's "year in review" actually told me my average warding was higher than the challenger average. I'm pretty proud of that, since I used to struggle to even keep up with other people warding.

Sorry for the wall of text ;_;

No problem my friend, I will make sure to do this after my next match to see what I can do. I appreciate your input.

Take teleport. Play safe early and farm unless you have a clear opportunity to harass and combo without retaliation. Don't fall behind in lane or you will be useless all game.

When bot tower falls and bot comes mid to farm, go bot and push. If you aren't in danger of being oneshotted, build lichbane and continue to pressure sidelanes. LB has shit teamfight capabilities even when fed. Avoid a 5v5 as much as possible. When securing objectives, hide nearby, don't waste spell CDs on the dragon/baron unless you see all of the enemies on the other side of the map. Ignore retaded teammates "?" pings when you guard for them. Better yet, mute everyone at the beginning since people almost never understand how LB works and you will waste time explaining delays, passives, and CDs, even in plat.

The best combo vs an adc is RQ -> Gunblade -> Q. This spawns the clone at the beginning of hte combo and buys you some time for the passive to cook.

Consider liandry's, void staff, and morello's as well.

She is strong but has a high skill floor and takes many games to just not feed on her. With a possible revert/rework on the horizon, I'm not sure I'd recommend spending the time in her when you could play a much easier champion for better results.

Ok I'll make sure to try these. She was actually my first champion and I need to find something I can really play besides GP so I'm up to the challenge.

If I team fight does break out should I bide my time and look for a pick? Or maybe try to get an E on a high priority target?

Ignore retaded teammates "?" pings when you guard for them. Better yet, mute everyone at the beginning since people almost never understand how LB works and you will waste time explaining delays, passives, and CDs, even in plat. LMFAOOOO I loved this comment, literally my last game.

One of the best things you can do as LB is force the enemy team to have to deal with your splitting. With Lich/Gunblade and some decent AP, you are a very good splitter, especially if you use your clone to proc Lichbane as well. And you're not like Heimer or Nasus, you actually have real kill potential in a 1v1 without hoping they mess up or don't have flash up, and can escape better than any other splitter, causing a lot of frustration and wasted resources while they waste time chasing you to stop your split.

If your team is trying to secure Baron it might be better to still push bot, but if you're fed enough that you can kill an adc without passive, or if they don't have enough CC to stop you from W'ing back, then you might be able to help.. but 5v5 lategame teamfighting on LB is her absolute biggest weakness, so you want to avoid it as much as you can. There are occasions where you can W -> RW into a team, mark multiple people, blink to W while passive cooks, blink to R and throw a bouncing Q that devastates the enemy team.. but this is very risky and can easily throw the entire game for your team. For the most part, make it a rule to deal with 3 enemies at once, max.

Again, stupid teammates who don't understand LB's strengths and weaknesses will cause you a lot of angst and frustration, especially when they spam ping a 1/3 LB to somehow help in a teamfight vs a 5/0 Draven/Janna combo or something. I can't tell you how important it is to mute people the second they do one passive aggressive "?" ping or make you waste even a second justifying your actions in chat while they threaten to report you via allchat. LB is a very different champion than lower elo players view her as.

She is not an assassin anymore after the changes, she is a splitpush mage who excels in distracting the enemy from objectives and picking off targets while being very difficult to deal with and easily able to kite and waste 3 enemy teammates' time.

Hopefully some of this is helpful.

It was very helpful. I've just been trying to find ways to play her correctly because she doesn't seem as strong as when she was initially reworked.

As SmurfBlanc said: Yeah take teleport. You already do so much damage from your passive that ignite isn't really needed. Personally, I don't build gunblade first because I feel like the healing is not that great early in the game.

I like to build a lot of pen first on Leblanc: I go item 3145 -->item 3136 --> item 3020. Her passive damage is so strong already that you should build pen first. But this is only my personal opinion. And of course, build defenses when needed. Remember: fed zed team ded.

Bans: personally I choose "none" since I will eventually have to face yasuos every game, so the practice is needed.

Combos off the top of my head:

Simple Harass in lane: Q --> wait for passive --> W and W back Simple harass and bait a spell : W ---> Wait for passive ---> Q ---> W back

Proc passive: just e them and stay in range

High dmg combo: RQ Q

Bait a spell and all in :

W away from someone -----> Spawn ultimate clone at the W location pad -----> enemy will think you teleported back and waste spell ----> W back and all in

Source: I main LB.

I've been wanting to try the penetration approach. If I do end up going for haunting guise, do I just finish boots and Liandrys then go for Morellos?

I usually finish my boots for max pen and then Liandry's. But if you can buy Liandry's on your back then buy the item instead of boots.

build health off tank. I got to mr 7 doing that. I made a mid lane Talon completely useless because i built. item 3027 item 3110 item 3047 item 3089 item 3135 item 3146. Not exactly in that order.
