1). Switch the damage values on the going-out Q damage and the returning Q damage. You guys halved the slow value trying to nerf top ekko, and you only get the same value once you hit 300 AP. Make it so the going-out damage is the higher of the two.
2). Kill the base damage on his passive and make it scale really really hard with AP.

While I think his Q is his magier aspect of his kit. Riot doesn't really recognize Ekko as a mage secondary, they recognize him as a fighter secondary. And guess what fighters build, defenses.
Unless Riot decides that Ekko shouldn't have that secondary role. They probably won't trash a fighter's build.
