i think you havent played against teemo enough. it might have become a meme, when he he was nerfed enough to disappear mostly from the game. because new players dont know why teemo is so hated.

trust me, a match against riven is loads of fun compared to when teemo is actually viable.

I've played as and against him when he's viable. He's not worth as much vitriol as people throw at him. He's annoying, he's aggravating, but he's manageable, even when he gets ahead. He doesn't become a duelist extraordinaire when he's ahead, and he isn't necessarily a teamfight menace either. He's all about the lane and objective control and some mind games. And some hit and run, because why not? He's one of the few that can do guerilla warfare decently because of his dot on-hit.

I'd say Elias is right: Teemo is more meme hate while Riven tends to get more of people's actual hate.

I've saved a few games as teemo by asking my team for time to shroom up the base. He can put up a pretty deadly defense when defending a single point.

while i had a group of friends who i did 5s q with constantly, one of my friends would often go teemo and be the entire reason we would be able to come back because they couldnt freaking push towers.

At least Techies gives you a sign that says "we have mines here" and you know it has no meaning. Until they get the scepter. Then you cant do shit in that area. ;_;

Not only that, Aghs gives him pretty damn good waveclear by just tossing a barrel at a minion wave and clearing the entire thing in one go. It's not his mines alone that make pushing uphill against Techies a task in frustration, it's the monstrous waveclear and area control he has.

Kinda glad League doesn't have that. Then again, League isn't balanced the same as DotA, so things DotA has League can't necessarily have, and vice versa.

Sorta, except unlike Ziggs (barring his ult) Techies doesn't even need to be present for the wave of creeps he's killing. It's pretty hard for someone like Naga, Nature's Prophet or Tinker to push against the guy, for that reason. Secure a lane tower, leave, secure another lane tower, leave, etc., for as long as it takes for your team to get back in the game.

Speaking of Teemo, is his mushroom duration cut in half on Twisted Treeline also in 5.15? It's already stealth-nerfed to 3 minutes, which is overly harsh. If it's cut down to 9 seconds, he'll be much less useful.

Please, for the sake of clarity, just let his R be 5 min on all maps. Also, are there any other champs who have map-specific nerfs to their abilities? Why Teemo, especially when every enemy has a short-CD true sight trinket to kill them?
