He is food late game from items but his early game is not good at all

They nerfed his base damages because people were building him full tank and still 3 shotting people.

His early game is decent. I can 1v2 in lane with Ekko. He's no Fizz, but it'll do pig. It'll do.

I doubt you can duo against two ranged opponents. I would have to see proof of this. Its a bit rediculous to even think about taking a melee into a 2v1

Check Aatrox who deals to himself 15 % current hp with his spells and has the hp of ADC.

No, I max it first for the cooldowns and because it is his safest ability. Also, there is no point in maxing e or w.

When you say weak early game, you must mean lvls 1-7 because this is when you cant easily clear waves and when you can get pushed out of lane a lot. Forcing good trades so that your opponent has to back when you do, combined with buying a second dorans ring is probs how you should deal with this. I swear, that second dorans ring is almost as good as morellos for clearing waves even though they only give you 30 ap when you have two!

You have to think ahead as ekko. If you cant win lvls 1-3, then back at lvl 4 if you have to and u can spend lvls 4-7 easily catching up. Look for a teammate to help you grab the first kill. Be clever and a little lucky, and you can get a solo kill on your second kill. If you are not snowballing, picking up lichbane early means you need to fight longer to get a kill and your ult does far less dmg. Not enough dmg.
