Unflinching in its current state wont hold up to Demolish or Font Of Life

in case people dont know what the rune does.

After casting a Summoner Spell, gain 15% Tenacity and Slow Resistance for 10s. Additionally, gain 10% Tenacity and Slow resistance for each Summoner Spell on cooldown.

the biggest issue i have with this rune is, that it doesnt grant a base value. as long as you dont blow both your summoner spells, you dont really get anything out of it.

this kinda makes this rune really only interesting for junglers, since smite is a lot more disposable due to its short cooldown, and it makes the effect a lot more often available. often during ganks, many junglers open up with red smite or blue smite, which would immediately grant them the effect.

ive never had the desire to even consider this over demolish when playing a laner.

the rune should be turned into an "anti chain cc" rune imo. give it 15% slow resistance and tenacity as base value and then have the % increased for every second youre cced, for a couple of seconds.

for example slows increase the value by 5%, and immobilizing effects by 10% every second within a 4 second window, (additional incoming cc extends the duration).

Dude this would rock! That's a really good suggestion :)

Probably should scale by being 10% slow resist/tenacity, with +5% for 3 seconds once hit with soft CC, doubled stacks for hard CC, stacking up to 6 times.

Having played with the rune on PBE I can say it is very noticeable and I feel that the differences between the Font of Life and Demolish are substantial enough to create distinction and value between each other.

35-40% tenacity is pretty great on it's own. Than you got 20-30% slow resistance as well which is basically free swiftness boots. If I need to be worried about CC I will take Perseverance.

All three of those runes are conditional. Sometimes you won't be able to get to a tower even as a massive tank because you'll be shredded and locked down before you can approach (Having played a lot of Sion w/ Demolish on PBE). Your team might be full of casters and make little use of Font of Life.

I was actually a little excited to try it out with ghost/tp up top. Not really sure how effective it will be in practice, but I wasn't really giving the other two runes any thought. Demolish is nice, but in my eyes I spend more time moving around and fighting than I do actually hitting towers, and I do enjoy split pushing quite a bit, so it seemed better to have a rune that helps with getting in/getting out when split pushing, rather than taking turrets faster.

Might just be a matter of personal preference, but I'm excited to start testing regardless.

if youre running ghost, youre not running flash.

there are like 2 or 3 champions who can pull that off. and out of those, even singed doesnt really need it anymore, due to his new passive.

plus, getting cced when youre ghosting is going to hurt almost the same.

and you dont even need the extra mobility off ghost when split pushing, when youre warding correctly and see an enemy collapse coming early enough to leave.

especially when it comes to split pushing, demolish is just going to be so much better in every way. it makes your split push presence a lot more threatening, due to how quickly you can burst down towers.

Seems better on midlaners who want to use cleanse vs a high cc team or something, or Irelia if you want to be absurd

Resolve is a really shitty tree to go into second. Like REALLY shitty trash garbage. Only go into resolve second if you're building tanky or supportive.

If you want tenacity go into precision with Legend Tenacity for 20% tenacity all the time.

I kinda dislike the fact that it's bound to summoners aswell, but it still can be quite potent. If you combine it with ghost, you can force all-ins pretty darn well and even force your way into the backline duering teamfights. Even with no other summoner used, it's still 25% tenacity and slow resistance that pair nicely with the speed of ghost, and the other options aren't that awsome either. Font of life is mostly for supportive tanks, demolish is ok but given the current state of towers, you really don't need it to tear those down unless you play a splitpushing tank like Shen that sits alot in sidelanes with really poor tower damage on his own.

When I read it I assumed it was +% not multiplicative. Anyone on one?

the bonuses of the rune in itself adds up.

means the rune can get 35% tenacity/slow reduction for a moment, when you blow both of your summoner spells (2 summoners on cooldown = 20% + 15% for 10 seconds for using a summoner).

however it stacks multiplicative with other sources of tenacity. for example if you have merc treads and steraks passive running (which is the only case of tenacity that stacks additive), the rune will give you at most 14% additional tenacity.

Gotcha, this sounds awkward

A quick idea for this rune:

Upon being immobilized or disabled for at least 2 seconds in a time window of 4 seconds, cleanse all crowd control effects and become immune to them for 1 second, 0.5 seconds for ranged champions. Cooldown: 120s

I don't agree. 25% slow res + tenacity when burning a summ in fight is pretty powerful imo (since it's 15+10)

Anyway, with tenacity buffs, welcome league of knockups

I plan to run it on singed. Might try it on rammus too.

Anything that provides "slow and tenacity" will be crap, only like 20% of the champion pools kits are even affected by them and often not enough to even have meaningful impact.

I mean demolish basically means that tank split pushers can be a threat to turrets now which is really great. I wish every choice had this large of an impact.

demolish is strong on any tank or fighter.

basically whenever a champion wants to go into resolve as his primary path, there is no real reason to consider unflinching over demolish (or font of life for support tanks who want to give their carries a free bloodthirster).

that much objective damage is far too powerful of a tool compared to that very situational tenacity.
