Makeing a more competitive MM Que.

How hard is it? I would like to actually test this. I'm inclined to looking at dedicated team Que. Reduces Adjustment work and it values collectively to the same MMR range that treats the team as a whole, not individuals.

Looking for 30-50 Players with any ranked season with 200+ played games for a preliminary test.

MM has been a hot topic all season. So, you guys wanna do something about it or just whine?

Edit. I'm heading to work now. I expect this to be a dead thread because its trying to be productive. I just don't think boards gameplayer users have it in them to actually bother trying anything beyond lobbying a complaint or QQ thread then moving on.

If any ones curious and wants an outline on the scheme let me know and ill respond to ya when I am home.

That’s a great idea

I like the concept of dedicated Clans who can manage multiple Teams. Each with their own MMR value that disallows higher then team MMR players to join it.

I like the idea that this que is highly restricted and meant to be a highly competitive experience.... OR if people just want to fk around.... that's on them as they decided to do so as a group of 5. No player with insufficient data can play. At a basic level it needs people to reach how ever many games solo riot expects to see system accuracy at. Last I saw that listed it was 150-300.

That way MMR is off a set team rooster of players. And mismatches are the result of Bad player selection for a match not the system. It encourages making teams and friends. Trying and learning strategies that are unavailable to solo players. Adds a lot of champion viability to the ladder by being a more team focused que.

Overall... that just sounds more fun to me. From Riots side, you can have all kinds of cool clan related swag + have entire premade teams involved in various VS styled events. Player participation should increase if this was implemented well. "Battle Pass" styled events could become increasingly popular if your friends also benefited as having the ability to build up a clan can be a good resource and time sink if its enjoyable and feels rewarding.

The nice thing is that as its going to be off a more basic Elo system, the math can be provided to all players to see and judge. I have done some experiments with RNG dice rolls by playing with # of sides to represent power. That can only get me so far in my goal of self education thou because humans are inherently less predictable then a dice.

Hence why despite how unrealistic i know this is, I reached out to the community. Just to build a start point to start working off and throwing out bad ideas. I need a minimum of 6 teams of 5. preferably 10. Of players with established Tier ratings to play matches and test what a Rooster MMR looks like and how well it functions. Need to run a fair and unfair round robbin at the very least. Preferably need to run it as a best of 3. And Id have to keep outliers uninvolved as well if theres low participation from some MMR ranges. Got to obey class intervals.

End of the day... That's a lot of strangers time to be asking for.

I will keep struggling to get the on paper logistics worked out and make shure I have solid math. Then present the concept again at a later date and hope folks care enough to provide it attention. But having some actual data some real games some IRL proof that Cant be faked. As well as community help and support? Like folks who are good at numbers to call out my errors? that saves a massive amount of time.

As it stands all I am doing is stealing proven ideas and adapting them to the context of a League of legends Que type. How realistic it is I don't really know. I want to find out thou.

Thank you for commenting Mack. have a great night mate!
