Jhin circlejerk so strong people are massively upvoting incorrect information.

WoonStruck··9 votes·902 views

They all upvote that only the last shot of his ult does missing HP damage. lol

Each shot does missing HP damage. The 4th crits for 100% x (1+bonus crit damage).

#Not saying he's OP or not, just please stop blindly defending him and at least get your facts straight.

Upvoting has never had anything to do with whether the information is correct or not.

So "Jhin circlejerk" is people defending him? Doesnt seem like that to me lul

WoonStruck5 votes

You mean spouting incorrect information and upvoting each other for it? That's definition circlejerk.

Each shot of his R does % missing HP damage. The people 'defending' him don't even know what he does.

Its his passive/autos that only have % missing HP damage on the 4th shot.

Penns3 votes

I know what it does and I "defend" him. And I still think he is op, but using Ashe as example and saying she pays more for her utility when hers is like 10x better + she has more dmg... that seems like a "circlejerk" xd

WoonStruck1 votes

I mean, what I was saying was mostly in reference to people not even knowing the difference between his passive and his ult.

I don't think he's too far out of line, just that he doesn't pay enough for either his damage or utility; one of the two needs to be toned down in the same was as Ashe. I've actually made that exact argument in another thread.

This thread wasn't about the state of Jhin's balance, its about the circlejerk blindly upvoting information you can look up and find incorrect.

So basically, I agree.

technically not % missing health. Its flat damage that increases as the target loses health.

WoonStruck3 votes

But technically it is.

Garen's ult is considered 28.6 / 33.3 / 40% of target's missing health and it did the exact same damage when it was displayed as 1 additional damage per 3.5 / 3 / 2.5 target's missing health.

In the same way, 2.5% is a 1/2.5/4 increase in damage for every 1% HP->[flat variable] missing from the enemy. The only difference is that HP increases the variable, making it an effective counter.

Displayed differently, functions exactly the same. Only difference is in values between the two.

Sorry this is wrong. Unlike a true %HP damage skill curtain call will deal the same damage to a 4000HP target at half health and a 2000HP target at half health. It only takes into account the targets current health percentage.

I understand it's easy to get confused when jhin has so much going on including having actual %missing damage on his 4th auto but it's just funny that you make a thread like this with completely wrong information.

WoonStruck3 votes

Its not wrong. Like I stated, the only difference is that 'flat variable' rather than increasing for every 1/2/3 damage taken or whatever.

That variable is based on the target's max HP rather than a flat, static value.

This is why it IS % missing HP (literally scales based on each missing %), but not a %HP damage skill, which I never stated it was.

Twitch Chat4 votes

I guess I can kind of see what you're trying to say? Though when you're essentially having a semantics argument using "missing HP damage" to describe the damage calculation for curtain call is a really unclear way of putting it.

MissingKayo4 votes

Wrong. Scaling off missing health and its own damage being multiplied by a percent of their missing health is different.

If someone is 1000/2000 health, the former gives +50 damage (if 100% missing health). The latter would amplify the damage of your ability by 150%.

If you're going to make a shitpost about someone else's shitpost, try not to shitpost yourself.

IIRC, Jhin's ultimate would deal the same amount of damage to:

  • Champion 1: 1000/2000 HP
  • Champion 2. 1500/3000 HP
  • Champion 3: 2000/4000 HP

If it actually dealt percent missing health damage (like Garen's ultimate), it would deal more damage to Champion 3 than Champion 1 since they have twice as much health missing.

Veigar's ultimate would be a far better comparison. How it scales with the target's missing health is almost identical to Jhin's ultimate.

WoonStruck3 votes

It scales, literally, on % missing HP, not the flat value missing.

Me stating it is a % missing HP skill is not incorrect.

It literally gains damage for each % of missing health you have.

People assuming a different meaning of the literal description of the skill does not make me wrong.

MissingKayo4 votes

I don't see why you have to make a whole new thread in response to what only one and literally only one person said.

But go ahead and generalize an inaccurate statement for reps.

WoonStruck3 votes

Its not just one person.

I've seen people support incorrect information about Jhin on several occassions.

Including yourself.

GREAT, I FAIL READING COMPREHENSION AGAIN.

JUST GREAT. I FAILED. I'M A GOD DAMN RETARDED AUTISTIC ILLITERATE FAILURE.

I'M SORRY. I'M SORRY. I'M GOD DAMN SORRY. I'LL NEVER POST OR THINK EVER AGAIN. I'M SORRY.

Lol it happens.

They are referring to Jhin's ultimate, not his basic attacks.

uhm interesting, reading this thread the common consesus is that it isn't %hp based... well, it is:

It's %hp flat bonus damage increase

What it's not is %hp %bonus damage increase

both % based but the damage bonus is different, generally there's no offensive skill that scales it's %bonuses with %hp generally though, heals do this.

On top of that the 4th shot crits which is ridiculous lol, this means that if you are at 25% health you'll die if you get hit, crazy

Jinzo Torrance1 votes

The guy got a total of 11 upvotes and 6 downvotes and you are making a thread about it?

WoonStruck1 votes

You act like that's the only thread people have made comments about Jhin.

Jinzo Torrance2 votes

You act like that the upvote of false information only goes one way.

MissingKayo2 votes

It's even funnier when you see Woon make incorrect statements right after.

NotCounter1 votes

damage amplified by missing health is not the same thing as percent health damage
