do something to get velkoz out of bottom lane
poke you from my 800 range while you attempt to farm
poke you from my 800 range while you attempt to farm
all these fucking mid lane mages need to get the fuck out of botlane
ill start off with an easy way to kill annie support, "annie can no longer perm hold her stun till she uses an ability"
there, next.
Lol
Velkoz is not only one of the slowest champions in the game, but he also fires some of the slowest projectiles.
If you can't just jump on him and delete him, dodge his stuff. It's not hard.
its really the retarded ammount of true damage in the bot lane thats the problem. Hes going to auto proc it on his w and he can auto then everything else is luck.
It is hard to dodge his stuff. He's got priority on his skillshots as in he can choose when to split his q or send out his other skills. A good velkoz will hit most of his abilities simply because he can choose when and where he wants to send them, while the enemy can only predict or react. Positioning behind minions lets him poke with q because of the way it splits. positioning in your minions lets him hit you with w. Chasing him earns you an e to the face and a big chunk of true damage.
If you don't have a way to jump him as a melee support then you and your adc have to sit waaaaay back and let him zone you. I'm not saying he's op, just telling it like it is. It's one of the most annoying match-ups to face as a melee support.
I have a hate-boner whenever I see this champ picked as support tbh.
it won't get him out of bot lane, but I can offer some sound advice for laning against him:
If you're careful and use the minions as a shield, it can be much harder for him to use q effectively.
Additionally, if a vel'koz misses his e, he and his laner become extremely vulnerable until it comes off of cooldown.
Vel'koz supports will usually settle for single q's or an e-w combo when they harrass, but more aggressive/experienced vel'koz players may continue to hit you over time, in order to cash out on extra passive procs; if you start accumulating stacks, back off a bit, and remember that vel's autos refresh the stack duration.
Finally, and this is most important, NEVER underestimate the range OR damage of vel'koz's ultimate. a full channel at level 6 will typically do at LEAST 600 total damage(which includes average magic resists around that level); and vel'koz's ult can actually reach slightly farther than his vision radius.
TL;DR: block q's with minions where possible, punish any missed e's as hard as possible, avoid letting him stack on you, if he ults and you have less than half your health then you'd best flash out or cc him.
EDIT: and also, vel'koz's range is far, FAR greater than 800... his q's can travel 1050 units without splitting, closer to ~1300 total after splitting, and his ult can reach about 1500 range.
