There are off meta picks. And then there's inting. What's the difference?

I recently played a ranked game as warwick where in champ select, the adc picks bard. So I was thinking that maybe he's swapping roles/picks. Turns out he wanted to play bard adc. I wasn't against it, because I'm all for people going off meta. But this is ranked, and people are playing to win - which means you should have a good understanding of the champ you're playing.

I looked him up, and turns out he's not even mastery 4. or 3. or 2. This was his 2nd time playing bard, and he was playing it adc.

So the difference is this: -Playing off meta means you at least have a good understanding of what the champ can and cannot do. -inting is saying "trust me, it'll work out" with almost 0 experience and proceeding to feed the vayne until she has 6 kills by 11 minutes.

Inting is when you purposely lose

Yea, and the Bard was trying to intentionally lose.

I should have mentioned that in the post game lobby he actually said he was high.

Int'ing is letting enemies kill you without trying to get away or stop. Playing badly or a champ that is not comfortable or proficient is not inting, just bad player choices. Possibly greifing, but that's a bit more of a gray area.
