Magic penatration Is on almost no items and the ones it is on are useless.

Void staff and abyssal scepter are useless?

I personally think Liandry's is a situational/champ specific pick but it's still decent.

So in total there are 4 magic pen items when boots is basically core on mages like 80% of the time

Let's count how many there armour pen items there are, Lord dominiks and mortal reminder I count as one because they're the same item just with a different passive, black cleaver, youmouu's and maw

4 items. and personally I think mortal reminder and lord dominiks is more situational than liandry's/usually not necessary to even build.

Don't forget that except for Black cleaver, those are all bonus armor or flat pen, whereas the magic pen items are just generic percentage magic pen, which is much stronger

woops I forgot about that, point is the mpen items are all good

tbh Lord dominiks and mortal reminder to me are pretty unnecessary/super duper situational so I still think that the mpen items are better/not "useless"

OK my real issue here is that maw is a direct counter to ap champions while giving them a huge edge to fighting them. It gives 50 Mr. It's very unlikely to get that 50 flat magic pen back on top of the fact that you would need an abysal to get it which is pointless when fighting a champion using maw.

I have no idea how void, abyssal, shoes, torment, hell you can even get magic penetration and AP safely in runes while AD can only get AD or armor pene if they want.
