In what division will people understand that this game is a objective game?

The Deckowner··7 votes·1,243 views

At which division, will people realize that towers, dragon, baron, inhibitor and the nexus are the actual objectives u need to take? not kills?

when will they realize plenty of top laners/junglers cant siege and has poor teamfighting but has good split pushing power so all they need to do is rotate mid and top while i take the enemy inhibitor?

when will people realize teamfighting when the enemy team has a better teamfight comp is a ridiculously bad idea?

when will people not ping for assistance/target a certain champ then just back the fuck out when rest of the team goes in?

when will people realize taking a baron when the enemy has only 2 people up is better than chase down the two people and get killed by the re-spawned ones?

when will people stop fighting in number disadvantage?

when will people learn how to play safe?

when will people realize that when the better players of the team (ie the guys who won their lane and got objectives across the map) made a decision which they disagreed, then its probably brighter to follow them since they are the one who did better and are carrying which means they probably knows how to win better than you?

when will people stop chasing for kills when the enemy clearly arent gonna die and they are going into a unwarded area while not knowing where rest of the enemy team are?

when will people actually listen to other's advice and actually follow it?

I am very curious, because i feel like no matter how well I played my team just never at the same phase as I am.

they are telling me to groupmid as nasus/jax/teemo, and when i explained why it would be much better if i just push side lanes while they hold mid, they suddenly became toxic and said "you are retarded/stupid/dumb/bronze(i am silver)/trash/garbage/other more toxic words which i dont wanna mention." i am curious why?

Yes i am very salty right now and I am very sad for the lack of basic knowledge about the game among the players in my division.

people in silver often had hundreds or even thousands of games, i dont know why they still dont know anything about the game.

Because as Nasus your powerspike is around midgame and that's when you should be grouping with your team. Once lategame comes two seconds of soft cc will be enough for their ADC+Mid to melt you down. As Teemo all it takes is one ranged champ with waveclear to stop your "splitpush" and he's pretty useless outside of being a lane bully and general annoyance with his shrooms.

If the enemy team has any form of hard engage, it isn't that hard to dive tier 1/2 turrets 5v4, after which they take two turrets as 5 while you take 1. Team comp and powerspikes also matter.

In all honesty everybody is in the elo they deserve to be. If you were truly better than your team (and enemy) you will win more than you lose and climb. Stop pretending that you know better than them and improve on yourself.

u dont understand my elo cause u arent in it, people in my elo dont know how to teamfight and proiority, mages use their bursts on the tanks, adcs have poor positioning, and assasins...i dont even know what assasin players are doing in my elo, they tend to just die for some reasons.

and with people brainlessly grouping mid, sidelanes will be easily pushed to ur towers and after u lose a teamfight enemy will gain a number of objectives because minions are already pushed. even if the teamfight is won not much can be gained due to the lanes being pushed toward ur towers and the best u can get is maybe a dragon or baron if ur tanks are healthy.

and people dont know what to do after teamfights, i have seem teams just recall after a fight instead of getting the free inhibitor and i cant get it alone without the adc cause i do no dmg to the turret and the enemy will spawn and kill me.

dont judge me for me being in silver.

It's not as bad as you're making it out to be. I climbed out of silver using mostly teamfight reliant champions, you definitely can force correct teamfights if you know what you're doing. I know how to teamfight. I know how to use a supportive champ to make my team-mates better. I know how to stop my team-mates falling so far behind that they can't teamfight. I play the game around teamfighting, even at lower ranks where people don't know how to teamfight. It can be done.

Master the art of spampinging. If you're making the correct call your team will follow more than they ignore you, especially if someone else agrees with you and starts to ping with you, which if you're right they often will.

dont judge me for me being in silver.

You seem to be doing fairly well over the last month or so, you've found something that works for you. What I'm trying to get across is that if you are good enough at another method of play it will work for you. That's why I can have a 67% win ratio on a supportive tank at the same ranking as you.

The Deckowner1 votes

i had walked that route before, and it didnt work for me. being the main initiater/supportive tank means u offer a load of utility and barely any dmg. so u rely on ur carries to act smart for you to win the game.a

I often play champs like nunu and maokai in the jg, it went pretty well until it happened to be me going in and carries going exact the opposite direction, p the god damn 300cs 3/0 caitlyn is so scared of the half hp 10/1 zed that even tho i cc him down she wont fucking give a single auto attack. people cant determine hiw strong someone is because they dont understand the difference between how much a 100 ad zed can do and how much a 200 ad caitlyn can do. all they do is just look at kills, not cs not items not levels. they are either too confident that they fights an enemy who will 100% destroy them or they are too scared to fight a squishy fed enemy carry and just let the tanks die for no reason. its quite rediculous how they targeted the champ then they just back the fuck out immediately after tanks goes in.

In low elo team death match is the only way how to play the game. Hell, that's how games go in platinum in my experience. Currently the best way to end games is to push mid.

If you watch trick2g you'll see that even he seems to just play a more supportive udyr role with iceborn, rather than d gatez like he did two seasons ago.

"The only time you will ever take an objective is when the entire enemy team isn't alive to contest it" seems to be the model league is following atm.

The Deckowner2 votes

but when the enemy has great waveclear and the team has poor seiging power, how is pushing mid gonna help winning the gsme? i personally think rotating side lanes is a better choice.

Troiann1 votes

Then you just force them into their base while you collect dragons. But it's always best to stay as 5 past 20 minutes, because literally any fight can change the entire course of the game, no matter how ahead you are.

The Deckowner2 votes

i dont think its possible to force enemy to base when the enemy has good waveclear, because it will be impossible to take down the tower unless u towerdive and kill the enemy, but if u can do that then u are already way ahead and the game is probably a stomp already.

For some reason i have lost connection with my thermometer in hell. It may have froze over?

i believe there are people who actually knows how to play this game. the logical part of the game is much easier than the mechanical part of the game, at least in my opinion.

Dreadlocks1 votes

I'd say climbing became harder when it became "good team vs good team" instead of "which team can work around the stupid players better" at around plat 3 elo.. I only made it to gold 1, but my mmr was high enough that i'd legit play vs all plat 3s. (a few rare plat 2s, and some plat 5s and 4s) but def mid Plat the game seemed to be harder.

This is just my experience!!! No Flamearinoooo

The Deckowner1 votes

i completely agree to u, i feel like its just a gambling now on which team has more bad players, and how bad they are compare to the opposite team.

i mean u can probably have a diamond adc, a bronze mid laner, and 3 other support in a team and they will probably lose to a full gold team due to the bronze player feeding hard and not doing what the better players told him to do.

just thoughts, not offence to bronze players, i know some of my friends who are in bronze but still plays decent.

Dreadlocks1 votes

Well too be fair, i have 2 accounts, both were low silver (silver 5) and i played with my fair share of bronze players, i was so close to getting demoted to bronze 1 that i would even be match up vs bronze 4/5 players occasionally. I know the depths of bronze without actually having the bronze rank. I climbed out of silver on both accounts with relative ease once i started shortening my champion pool and learned the game.

If you are meant to get out of a division, you will do so. If you are stuck, there could be various reasons holding you back, and until you figure out what those reasons are, you are where you belong. The Sad Truth =[

The Deckowner1 votes

i think the reason why i am stuck in silver(climbing slowly, like very slow) is cause my pool is most tanks/some fighters and i dont play mid/adc as often as i play other roles, the carry potential just xdoesnt exist because being thefront line means u can rarely be the one outputing dmg, and when the carries are so scared to fight and the lost games mostly end up with tanks dealing most dmg, idk what i can do :(

any advice?

I honestly haven't played ranked since the season ended (only ranked 5s) However, the biggest thing for me was just straight up decision making.. What do i do with my lead, how do i use it to my teams advantage, who is strong on my team and is my carry worth keeping alive?

After reading https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/3yz1zi/dopaapdos_qa_tipsstories/?ref=search_posts his last bullet under "game related' i realized how much sense this made. I cannot give you etiquette advice for your specific situation. I am merely a gold 1 rengar player, all my other champs are less than that skill level. Same goes for most others who play this game.

My advice to you if climbing is your main goal, you find a champion you love and you play it a lot. Get really good at the champion, and learn the ins and outs of it.. To me that is the most effective way to climb ranks. On this account, i played a lot of champs, amumu and j4 specifically carried me into gold 5, after gold 5 i played rengar religiously and climbed to gold 1. As for my 2nd account, i played only Lee Sin and Rengar (95% of the time) and went from low silver to gold 2.

TLDR; If you want to climb quickly, buckle down on 1-3 champions and grind.

The Deckowner1 votes

i will try, thnx for the advice man, good luck and have fun in ur games :)

Dreadlocks1 votes

No problem, gl on the grind next season xD.

i mean is it that hard to play this game? its meant to be a game which most people can learn very easily.

BluePolarizer2 votes

nope. I don't consider those below silver to even be playing league of legends and silvers are bad at league.

The Deckowner2 votes

that is very mean

BluePolarizer1 votes

it is not mean. I simply don't think that they have learned the game yet. It is less mean than implying that the game is easy so if people are bad at it... well, we have the natural conclusion don't we? I'm plat and have been plat for a long time. I don't think that bronzes truly know what League of Legends is about. They might be mechanically good (surprisingly common) or have brilliant flashes of strategy (much rarer) but overall, they just don't know the game.

The Deckowner4 votes

well i know some people were placed to bronze when they were bad then after they become good they decided not to climb because playing games in bronze is frustrating, and many times unfun.

LankPants1 votes

That's called getting better at the game, it happens.

they decided not to climb because playing games in bronze is frustrating, and many times unfun.

So they play normals? I don't see the problem here, normals has matchmaking too, if they truly are better than bronze they're probably playing against higher ranked players in normals anyway. If you or your friends truly are higher ranked it's fine to play normals with people who are also higher ranked but you probably shouldn't expect normals teams to play at 100% every game.

A lot of players can't get over the FPS type thinking. KILL KILL KILL! When I played rank many moons ago, it seemed gold was where it finally started to sink in that kills are just a means to end, not the whole point of the game. I never made it to plat but I imagine that is about the level where objectives really become the focus.

The Deckowner1 votes

sigh, i guess there is a long way to go.

Birefringence1 votes

The way score is displayed certainly doesn't help, unfortunately I can think of no alternative.

LankPants1 votes

In what division will people understand that this game is a objective game?

There's no set division for this really. I know people in gold who play the objective game well but just lack the mechanics to climb higher and I know people in plat who have no idea what a dragon is but have very good mechanics. As a general rule of thumb people in mid-high plat tend to understand at least a little about objectives.

The Bíg Ticket1 votes

If you know how to splitpush effectively it is super easy to carry games in Silver. My suggestion is you mute your whole team (or just ignore everything they type) then push toplane to the inhibitor, switch to botlane and push it to the inhibitor and then while your team is engaging 4v5 or happens to be smart enough to just sit mid and waveclear you go for their base. Obviously this only works if you are able to 1v1 anyone from the enemy team.

The Deckowner1 votes

well its obvious u can only split push when u can 1v1 anybody in the enemy team. but my team doesnt seem to understand that me getting free farm, applying pressure and possibly getting some global gold and solo kill on the enemy reinforcement(usually an adc or mage who comes to waveclear, with most fighter/assasin I can tower dive them easily) is better than me just sitting mid with the rest of the team and split exp/gold with them.

and the other thing they dont get is when 3 people showed their face bot lane just to catch me, and I went all faker mode and juked my way all the way from enemy bot inhib to the river before I died, they should probably get the mid inhib or something like that for free if they arent brain dead...

The higher you go, the more they realize it.

Also, the higher you go, the less they seem to care.
