I'm just going to start leaving Ranked games against smurfs

There's no point in playing when they're climbing, because you simply won't win. I can at least give them the satisfaction of not winning a legit 5v5. Just had a smurf tell me he does it for his stream. That's dirty as fuck, you won't get the satisfaction of beating me in a legit game, you subhuman piece of garbage.

Smurfs ruin what ranked is about.

It probably hasn't shown up yet, since I was still in game when I made this thread.

Enemy Draven literally said he was a smurf who does it for his stream.

Nope it showed up, he's not a smurf maybe a silver smurf lol..

Ah. I suppose that's why he went 11/0/7 and said he was a smurf right?

Because he's not a smurf? And in Silver? That's the perfect explanation.

If he was a smurf he wouldn't be S2 with 200 games with his main champion having a sub 50% win rate.

Just relating his own claims. If he's a smurf, I believe him. 200 games is hardly an accurate placement.

Trust me no "smurf" would need to play 200 games just to be S2

Eh. Believable. He was still Draven, 5/0 at like 5 minutes. He claimed to be a smurf, not my responsibility to vet his sources. I've played against smurfs before. Lost back-to-back placements to a diamond ADC main smurf before. It won't happen again, at least not legit.

And how do you determine if someone is smurf or just playing better than you?

I ask? Or they tell you. Smurfs do, in my experience.

To any who are interested, I just left another game. I promised to if they were ahead by 5 kills at 10 minutes. They were ahead 7 kills at 8 minutes, so I congratulated them on their win and left.

Ranked means nothing. It means less than nothing. Not just due to smurfs, but the terrible matchmaking. This will be my 9th loss in a row. They may say that streaking is a statistical outlier, but no one can say for sure till they release their algorithm. Streaking is a normalization tactic.

You do realize your own behavior is contributing to Ranked being worth less than nothing, right?

Play it out. The worst that can happen is you spend more time in that match and you get better at playing from behind.

Nah.

You barely lose LP for a game in which you're mismatched anyway. It's more economical to ensure games like that end early.

No, but you gain more LP when you win it. Just because they got a few early kills doesn't mean they're going to keep that lead.

Besides, you keep doing that you get the 20 minute wait on your queue, which costs you even more time.

Indeed. I gain much more LP when I win. Because these games are mismatches. I am penalized less when I am mismatched, and my contribution is worth less when I am mismatched. Therefore, from a time standpoint, it only makes more sense for me to play games where I'll win AKA have less than a five kill deficit at ten minutes.

Smurfs aren't the issue here, YOU are the issue. You're just putting your team at an even greater disadvantage if you leave.

On top of that, the Draven isn't even a smurf. I'm sure you had a game where you suddenly are a god at the game.
