The Truth about why Solo Q isn't returning

I know i'm going to get some down votes for this one but i feel I have to speak my mind.

This is what happens when a Chinese company takes over Riot. It's not about their playerbase it's about MONEY MONEY MONEY, and more greed. Riot is already a billion dollar company but has anyone else noticed just how much lately they are pushing down our throats this idea of BUY MORE BUY MORE.

Merchandise covers the front Page. no longer can you see "high elo games" running on the side, now it's jam packed with Social media that asks you for follows and sign ups.

Buy this merchandise, but that.

Playing with friends ( basically telling their community, go out and market for us mouth to mouth) is the only way to success, you get EXTRA IP for playing with friends, now EXTRA KEY FRAGMENTS, EXTRA ELO. EXTRA FUN, FASTER Q TIME.

LIke where does their greed stop and they actually say "Hey let's do something for our playerbase"

This new Hextech Crafting is just a money ploy, you never get the Key Fragments fast enough to unlock chests, UNLESS YOU MARKET THEIR PRODUCT AND PLAY WITH FRIENDS.

Seriously think about it.

When League first started it was all about the players, It was all about the community. It was more about keeping us Happy and Connected and Together, now they brush us off because they think they are too big for any of us, they don't need us now. We are just a small number to their grow stats.

Sure they will keep growing, League is an amazing game, but for the old grandfather'd players here, it's becoming a last straw. We are SICK of being treated like we are nothing. This isn't what League used to be.

We had Tribunal, now what, 200 updates later 3 years later, 1 new summoners rift later, 1 new client look later, 3 new punishment systems later, 20 champions later, they still haven't finished fixing Tribunal?

It's simple, they think it's not that big of a money making product, they rather advertise the shit out of us

That's what you get when you put a big making money machine into the Chinese industry. They just care about money now. Dynamic Q is free marketing for them. Bring your friends from school in to play the game or don't enjoy it at all.

Fine have it your way Riot, but the second you say Solo Q isn't coming back I promise you neither am I.

//end rant

Stop taking the blame off of Riot. Tencent isn't involved in the decision making of the game- the only thing they might have influence over is Garena (the company that manages the east asian servers). They choose to passively invest in profitable western companies because Chinese companies that expand to the west typically fail.

All of Riot's decisions are made by Riot employees.

I used to play League because I am lonely and don't have any friends, I've pretty much gave up on League now and just stare at the wall. My depression just gets worse.

You do realize it was confirmed in a tweet, correct? Look it up before you knock it down.

first this game is already at more then 6 years old this is bond to happen. No offence but a game that old will mostly change his focus into casual gaming.

Ok sorry, but that's silly. I understand you're annoyed about Riot, but this whole argument is just non-existant. Dynamic vs SoloQ has nothing to do with money, and different guys are working on different things. You think the guys that were here to make the soloQ are instead working on getting more marketing? NO, that's not their domain of qualification or anything. There are different team of people working at Riot. They aren't working on advertising instead of doing other things. They don't put back soloQ for some obscure dumb reason, which has nothing to do with money. If soloQ also grants key fragments and sh*t, they absolutely make ZERO deficit by putting it back. They even would gain money because people would be happier and more encline to buy skins/etc. A game that wants money wants to have happy clients. It's desperately logic. A game that sucks will have zero players, all players will move on, and game owners gain no money. It's a ridiculously stupid argument to say a game wants to make money instead of making players happy, because happy players; well; play the game and pay for bonuses. Except in the one case where they either would make the game pay2win or make skins/stuff more expensive.. which is currently not the case.

Warning: May contain sarcasm:

A company that wants to earn money. I NEVER thought such a thing would be possible! This is outrageous!

the moment you realise, they dont have to do shit for the playerbase, they own it, how many of ''us'' want to leave, but we wont, were addicted, were hoping to get that feeling we once had when we started, when we played league for fun, not to win. when we tried team comps and played champs because we liked the looks or the character or gameplay, not because they were OP, we had new things to discover back then, nowadays most people already play since a while now, we arent discovering things, we caught up to them. most new accounts arent new people, they are smurfs or side accounts following bans etc. league doesnt have to serve us now, they'll do so when most players actually leave for another game

I don't know if dynamic queue really has anything to do with "marketing," but it does promote group play. Their gamble is that in the long run, after everyone adjusts, most people will not queue solo anymore. Most games will be premades and that in turn should level out the frustration people have with playing with a bunch of strangers. Riot wants solo queue dead, probably because, oh I don't know, players have bitched about it since the game launched?

I personally have had better experiences with Dynamic Q, even when playing alone. With the planned changes to towers and early diving nerfs, the whole 4 man bot dive strat will be garbage again. Not that it happens often. I rarely get matched up against or with 4. I also play Anivia. So who knows.

Pink Tentacles4/11/2016, 12:39:28 PM1 votes

Technically doesn't Dynamic Q premote being a community? Because then you want to play with friends?
