vsing a nasus and what should I do in all situations?

so one of my biggest foes in the top lane since I started on my old (lost) account back in season I forgot the number has been nasus. Everything about his kit infuriates me to no end, and I feel there isn't that much I can do about him no matter how I play. he's a lategame scaling monster, but when I go a lane bully like riven or olaf, I often just BARRRREELY win the trades even after the 5th or 6th time I've done it, simply because his early damage scales so insanely that if I mess up even once, I'm dead. This isn't because I'm dumb and try to trade auto for auto, I'll go in for one, or feint and make him blow his wither before really going in, and take as few qs to the face as possible, but even with all that his free BT passive basically ensures that he can stay top and auto minions all day and just suck all that health back while I unintentionally push lane with my harass.

now I don't always get the chance to pick a counter to him and sometimes I'll go a champion like sion or Tahm kench who don't do a whole lot of damage without blowing their mana pools and then its either auto city or let him farm, even if I grab potions and the chalice mastery I can't keep up forever, and he can with literally no effort. times like these I'll either get the first kill by the skin of my teeth and have a few minutes to farm before the jungler decides to camp my lane, or I'll lose and be forced to just go full tank and pray to the high heavens my team will help me follow up to kill him later in the game. short of picking teemo, whom I hate almost as much, how can I learn to play around nasus to ensure I can actually play league of legends and not "babysit top lane for 30 minutes" BECAUSE HE'D RATHER JUST FARM TOWERS THAN HELP HIS TEAM so it's less of a loss and more of a severe annoyance. I know the stuff like "merc boots for the wither" except when the team is full ad "don't fight in his circle that shreds armour" thats what his 95% wither is to make sure you do or "bully him early" once again even my best early game bullies (and I can't go ranged, because everyone else is going full squishy and expecting me to pick up the slack) go just about even to slightly ahead of him, and I don't want to use permacleanse garen because HOO BOY could I make a whole forum post about that 600 movespeed with no boots and just a phage bastard in full plate.

Riven is bad against Nasus and always has been. Olaf is amazing against Nasus, and you need to stop ranking your Q first on Olaf.

Darius and Pantheon are strong against Nasus as well. Biggest thing to do is freeze lane and try to zone him away from farm for as long as you can.

imo darius and teemo are the two best champs against nasus. but at some point. he does outscale. you can't completely shut him down. because you either push his lane too hard and make his life very hard even farming under turret. or you let him get meh stacks. he outscales darius when he gets about 450 stacks. for teemo however its really hard for nasus to deal with teemo especially if you get 40% cdr on him. since you can pretty much blind have his possible qs on you. but teemo does shut him down in team fights and darius not really.

riven is really bad against nasus. nasus imo needs frozen heart and even if he has 200-300 stacks he basically won lane. riven does not counter nasus.

jax counters him because he outscales.

lulu counters him really hard. not because of early lane ranged harass. but because of polymorph in team fights. nasus depends on lifestealing from his q. you polymorph him he cant do damage or lifesteal so hes usually dead if he gets focused while polymorphed.

graves destroys him early game but just like darius and pantheon he gets outscaled pretty fast.

I have vowed off darius and teemo because I just feel like an asshole playing them, and it isn't fun at all. Olaf I can just about go even, but even if I don't sustain fight him and just poke harass when he can't respond, I still barely win the first few trades from the free lifesteal passive. so again what do I do when I get an unfavourable pick against him. and remember this is soloq, I can only rely on my team to flame me and possibly help me if they don't feed alongside me.
