Toxic Players should be placed lower in the pick order.

I am incredibly friendly and cooperative and optimistic in Ranked Solo Q, but I somehow always end up last or second last pick. I want to be able to lead the team from one of my main roles, yet I never get it. I don't mind this, but my teammates often let me down - even if they're in their favorite role on their favorite champion.

I just sat through a 40 minute game with a LeBlanc bbusing players, demoralizing her Team Mates and playing in a manner that wasn't in the best interests of the team just because someone picked AD Carry before her.

I mean, there's plenty of AD Carries that can play Mid, there's plenty of safe Mid Lane Champions that scale well into the game that don't necessarily have a really high skill floor. Instead she picks LeBlanc (an Early-to-Mid Game-centric champion), gets behind, and makes sure she spreads he misery to her unfortunate teammates.

Maybe if these people spent some time in a position where they shouldn't expect to get their preferred role, they'll become more accepting of the nature of Solo Q.

I mean, I'll call a preferred role but I'll also say that I'm happy to fill and even do things like picking high pick priority champions if someone wants to play them.

I love being low in the pick order... I'd rather see what champions I'm up against than get my preferred role every time.

I mean it's not like anyone who plays ranked doesn't know all roles... right? Right??

Yes I am certain of that having read the OP.

I am all for having ban history folks not getting first pick (doesn't matter where he ends up next), but your take on the matter is slightly off the course.

I literally got called 'the perfect teammate' yesterday in a Solo Q game on my worst role and that he couldn't believe how nice I was.

...then I get this f%cking bullsh%t.

I mean, what gives Riot? You don't get anywhere being a negative player, and you don't get anywhere being a positive player. There's no system in place to actually support positive players. Sure, bring out the stat that negative players lose more games but they're probably only being negative because 1. other negative players have worn them down and 2. they're negative because they're losing.

For each of LeBlanc's 10+ deaths, I said "don't worry we're still fine"... Positivity only gets you so far without Riot meeting you halfway.

EDIT: Sure, we get rewards. But that's too little compensation too late. Riot: "Sorry you just lost 10 Ranked games in a row because of some toxic, negative jackass... Here!... Have a Mystery Gift (gets 2 dollar skin that I'll probably never never use on a champion that I never play)."

As a few people have said, this already exists. I have had quite a few friends placed in low priority queues, and it sucks. It really does. They didnt learn from it though, all it did was make them rage more. Riot need to reconsider how they implement this.

Also, in direct response to OP's problem;

  1. Play hyper-carries
  2. Get out of Bronze (or whatever you're in)
  3. ???
  4. Profit

But seriously, people get their roles, and are actually good at other ones, in low gold+.

I'm Unranked. Previously Gold with Platinum MMR.

I know how to climb and I know how to win. I'm just having a bit of a rant because I was 5W 0L in placement games hoping to go 10W 0L through Positivity - Optimism, Friendliness and Cooperation. Then I had someone undo all of my hard work by being Negative - Abusive, Demoralizing and Uncooperative.

Oh, and did I mention that I only get to play 1 Game per Day because my brother hogs the bandwidth? (Australia still has sh*tty, outdated copper network infrastructure)

Well then, "/ignore all" is your friend.

Oh, and most of the UK has outdated copper lines too. I guess I'm lucky to be basically the only intensive internet user in the house.

first off i agree that toxic player should be "punished" i dont agree with your method. and thats becuase ANYONE who says: i can pick before you therefore i get what i want regardless of how good it is for the team" is a completely idoit. there is NO SUCH THING AS PICK ORDER. you give people thier best roles. every player should be able to play at least 2 roles in ranked at w/e skill level they rank at. and with communicion in almost every game every one can get a role they can excell at.

unless some idoit in first or second pick goes "im first and im calling mid and to hell with the rest of my team" if it were possible i would kick and blacklist every player who says "pick order" out of my games. this is a team game, and if you cant even work at as team before the game even starts then the fight is already lost

The entire community is toxic, yet YES, some people swear, and some people don't swear.

Does that mean the people who don't swear, and do everything in their ability to antagonize other individuals INTO swearing, just to 'declare' that the swearers are the predominant toxic individuals, are not the predominant toxic individuals?

No you aren't. You're just as guilty. The only two groups of people who believe you are Riot and yourselves. Riot is forced to listen to people and refuse that they are the antagonists because that type of people generate revenue for them. They aren't retarded. They know you're trolling even moreso than the people the community actually deems as toxic.

People can be banned for being Passive Aggressive - that's what the Offence Description section is for in the report window.

I know I'd had people banned/suspended even from reports that I've sent to Riot via the support portal.
