Want to buff Illaoi riot?

Give her 50% bonus armor pen during her ult (like yasuo). She's useless vs any tanks and since this is the tank meta I feel she needs this buff to help make her feel useful. She has way too much counterplay at the moment (CC, disengage, low mobility, walking out of her ult, etc). Would it really hurt to give her this? Darius & Garen (The two other top lane juggernauts) both have true damage as a way of dealing with huge tanks. Hell, darius even has 25% armor pen passively. Why can't illaoi have armor pen for 8 seconds when she ults?

I would assume it is because of her incredibly high AoE damage and sustain. Yes, Darius and Garen have those too, but not anywhere on the level of Illaoi. Black Cleaver should be the only pen you need to destroy tanks. As for what would make Illaoi better, she needs to have some way of impacting a fight aside from raw damage. The vessel thing was supposed to do this, but it's not working that well. Garen has a silence and chasing power, Darius has a displacement and a slow. Illaoi has an awkward conditional slow that only activates when too far away, and not for long enough to take advantage of. The tentacle-hell part of the ability is not impactful atm and only serves as an unnecessarily long annoyance for the opponent. The duration needs to be lowered and impact intensified, which is in the works right now but currently doing nothing good for Illaoi. I made a suggestion recently on that, but this champ is pretty complex so who knows if it would fix her viability problem.
