Congratulations of ruining Galio

So far every Galio player ive talked greatly dislike the new one. The old one was able to deliver decent damage, even carry while being support. The new one is just a CC-slave, he is less entertaining, less effective, less fun.

His unique MR to AP passive changed for a "every once in a while i punch hard". The only thing i though "mhe, could be interesting" is his E (justice punch), of course, thinking it could be used to jump walls, but nope, not even that. His previous spell was more reliable for escaping and at least gave a speedboost to your team, now the big windup + that you stop when you are near an enemy champion makes it completely unusable for retreat.

And of course, his "shield" can now only be used offensively, and instead of having a unique concept like his previous one (heals with DoTs and when hit), it's just 2 spells mashed into 1 button.

Normally when a new champ comes out (or a rework), you see it in every single match for like a month, now it has been a few days since its release and i haven't seen anyone using him.

Its obvious he was reworked to fit one of the little boxes riot has been trying to encase every champ lately (Vanguard in his case), which of course, ends up making champions very similar, and in his case, almost a Malphite. His lack of casing was what made him more interesting.

His Q was good at slowing enemies, which again, good to catch enemies or run away from a range, now everything he has forces him to get in melee range (because he is a vanguard now).

If i wanted to play Galio as he is now, i would have played Malphite from the beginning.

God, even his new vanilla skin looks weird, even a more "gothic" look could have done the trick.

P.S.: please don't ruin my main Jg Eve.

new galio is just underwhelming. E is easily "counterplayed" lol just run into it, hes not going anywhere (no escape).

ult is too telegraphed and too slow which doesn't even bring enough damage or cc to warrant flashing out of.

and W cripples yourself more than enables your team.

new galio is just straight up outclassed and not something to consider as a core member of the team but rather "he has just enough tools to not int in a solo lane"

let me know when i can flash R again and turn a losing situation into a favorable one.

I'd not refer to this thing as Galio to be honest.

Galio was a Champ with some problems which got deleted not to long ago. We got a clunky Ult-Bot as replacement.

No, for real. The new Champ is not to bad and has some interesting things build into his kit. However he is overloaded (just like most releases are) and is therefore not allowed to have actuall one or two strenght. Especially since he's not a carry.

Wut. every game I played so far either had galio played or banned.

Galio is more about counter-engaging and turning around fights than initiating himself.

Also, where did all these "Galio players" come from? I've played since season 3 across three accounts, and I've seen more posts defending old Galio since his rework than I have old Galios in all my League games. Even in URF, where old Galio was pretty absurd, I rarely saw him.
