Feedback on the new proposed Rune system
@1:39 "instead of many mostly incremental choices about stats...."
I don't see the problem with this as it is currently. I actually like having the ability to make minor adjustments and fine tune a page. The only problem before is that is was gated by extremely high IP costs. I don't understand taking this away.
@1:50 "similar to the current mastery system, you most important choice will be be your keystone rune. But in the new system, ***a Keystone Rune gets to be much more powerful than anything we've had in pre-game before"
oh god PLEASE NO. We don't need to go through the disaster of keystones again, let alone making them MORE powerful. Honestly this just seems like a disaster waiting to happen. These do not add any strategic choice. You're thinking "wow that new keystone looks awesome on this champ! I'll try it out!".......WELL it turns out that keystone synergizes too well with that champion. It boils down to X keystone is going to synergize with Y and Z champions (or even entire classes of champions) far too well, making them broken OP. These champions then get nerfed around the keystone back to their original overall power level. After multiple months of complete chaos, in the end absolutely nothing changed except you are pidgeonholed into taking that one Keystone or your champ is now not viable.
I understand the mentality of maybe letting certain champs have different playstyles, but this is the reality. The community is going to quickly figure out the strongest one on each champion and spam it. The champion is going to have to be buffed/nerfed around that one keystone. The keystones that dont work as well for that champion will become practically unviable.
This is a massive mistake. Please please please reconsider.
@3:18 We know that the high IP costs for runes has been a major pain point for a long time. So we're super excited to let you know that new runes will be totally free for all players
Awesome! No complaints about this!

@3:54 "But we also view this as an opportunity to take a step back and revisit League's reward system as a whole. So while we are reworking runes, we're also looking at other improvments. Such as making it easier for new players to fill up their champion pools and giving all player new rewards to work towards

Overall it seems like a lot of good changes are on the way. I'm going to be adament about this "Keystone Rune" being a terrible idea. People still heavily dislike the current keystone system. I can't see buffing them up even more being a good idea. I urge you to look for an alternative.
