It doesn't seem to correlate with how much damage you build, sometimes you have to wail on the guy for 10 or 15 seconds as AD jarvan and other times he dies in 3 hits from full tank Maokai.
Krabs
It's because between the time the Scuttle Crab spawned and the time you killed it is enough time for you to gain enough damage from levels and items to kill it faster than when you did before. The stats the Scuttle Crab has upon spawning/respawning is constant and does not scale over time. However, when it respawns, it will be tankier than it will have been before.
Scuttle crab only levels up if hes killed. Thus if you kill him a lot he updates to how strong everyone else is. If he hasn't been messed with then he's super weak.
I think that creatures should atleast level up somewhat if they haven't been killed.
I don't know, I think it gets too tanky too fast though.
After like 3 crabs the thing takes 15 seconds to kill, it's just too long to be wacking something in the river. And you damn sure can't smite it because smite's overly important in this jungle

He takes more damage when CC'ed.
it is because his health scales with average champion level at spawn time. If you are 45 minutes into the game and nobody has killed top side scuttle crab, he will have the same measly health that he had at the start of the game. If he got cleared recently and just respawned at level 18, then he will be a tanky little guy because he has scaled up. The same things would happen to jungle camps if you didn't clear them all game and then killed one at level 18.
Dunno if anybody read the tooltip but if he gets rooted or stunned he takes extra damage and gets killed with 2-3 hits.
