If you pick these roles, you are literally throwing dice. Support depends on their ADC, ADC depends on their support. And jungle depends on all 3 lanes, to not all feed.

Jungle has the power to control the map and carry the game. I've found that if your skill level is above the rank you are playing at you will actually find more success this way.

Maybe that's true for any role though. If you're good enough you can carry.

This is pretty strange advice. Support I don't agree with, but still understand where you're coming from. adc is pretty easy to carry with in low elo because less people dive you (or they do it suicidally), and you can just pick something like Ezreal if you're worried about having bad supports.

Your perspective on jungle is super strange though. Jungle actually has the capacity to win the entire map instead of one lane. You're not dependant on them to win without you unless you consciously make the choice to powerfarm and ignore your lanes. At that point, its on you. If you're playing jungle like its a lane without a lane opponent and hoping that your teammates can hold out 4v5, that is your mistake.

I would argue that jungle/support are potentially the most effective roles for climbing.

Both roles have the ability to make horrible teams better or mediocre teams great. So you might be rolling dice, but at least you are rolling dice that are weighted in your favor.

Top and Mid can carry their lane, but just one winning lane is a great way to lose the game overall.

But then, I haven't played ranked in a while so what do I know?
